BUENOS AIRES, October 13, 2026 - Prime Video today revealed first-look images for the second season of the hit Prime original series Menem, directed by Ariel Winograd. The returning cast includes Leonardo Sbaraglia (Amarga Navidad, Puan), Juan Minujín (Coppola El Representante, Los Domingos), Griselda Siciliani (Moria, Envidiosa), Jorgelina Aruzzi (El Novio de mamá, El Primero de Nosotros), Marco Antonio Caponi (Moria, Iosi, el Espía Arrepentido) and Cumelén Sanz (La Jefa, Monzón), among others.
Menem is a fictional drama based on true events set in the 90s in Argentina. The second season picks up after a first term that catapulted him to reelection. Carlos Menem begins his second presidency in a country that no longer sees him the same way. Surrounded by political enemies and hounded by an increasingly combative press, his public image crumbles at the same pace as the economy. The frivolous gestures that once amused people are no longer enough. Between encounters with Madonna, Ferrari rides, and delirious declarations about space flights, the season covers the most iconic anecdotes of a president who combined power with spectacle. As he tries to reinvent himself with the help of Olegario, his photographer, and navigates the grief of his son's death, Carlos Menem faces his last and most difficult challenge: ceasing to be president.
The series' debut season, which premiered in 2025, has recently earned a nomination for Best Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards and a Latin Grammy nomination for composer Sergei Grosny in the Music for Visual Media category.
Menem is created and produced by Mariano Varela and led by Ariel Winograd (Coppola El Representante, El Robo del Siglo) as showrunner and director. The series was written by Patricio Vega, Ariel Winograd and Emanuel Diez, produced by Yulgok Media, Claxson, Cimarron and executive produced by Mariano Varela and Santiago Lopez.
Prime Video customers will be able to watch this new season of Menem on the Prime Video app for Smart TVs and mobile devices, on three simultaneous screens, as well as through Claro, Telecentro, or DIRECTV or fixed internet subscription. In the Prime Video app, Prime Video customers will be able to download the episodes to their mobile devices and tablets and watch it anywhere without an internet connection and at no additional cost. Prime Video is available in Argentina for only $6.499 per month (plus applicable taxes) and new customers can learn more at primevideo.com.
