Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: NFL Playoffs Deliver Victory for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/17/21):

FOX (23.075 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.4, #1) surged to the top spot on Sunday thanks to its presentation of the "NFL Divisional Playoff: Tampa Bay at New Orleans" (28.806 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.0, #1) followed by special installments of "The Great North" (8.416 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) and "Family Guy" (3.342 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3).

CBS (6.000 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) was the silver draw with its mix of "60 Minutes" (10.235 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.383 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5), "NCIS: New Orleans" (4.937 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and a repeat "NCIS" (3.446 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8).

Next up was ABC (3.049 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) with its new lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.023 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" (2.685 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8), "Card Sharks" (1.878 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and "The Rookie" (3.609 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8).

Meanwhile, NBC (1.351 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) opted for repeats of "Weakest Link" (1.427 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11), "The Wall" (1.455 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and "American Ninja Warrior: All Star Skills Special" (1.262 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11).

And finally, the return of "Batwoman" (0.663 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #15) and a rebroadcast of "All American Stories" (0.177 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.0, #16) rounded out the night on The CW (0.420 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).
