CBS Delivers Its Largest Weekly Audience and Highest Rated in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 Since Last May

"CSI" Has Been The Most Watched Program Every Week This Season

"Without a Trace" Tops "ER" In Adults 18-49 For the Second Straight Week

"NCIS" Impeaches "Commander in Chief" As Tuesday's Most Watched Program

"CSI: NY" Tops "Law & Order" and "Invasion" In Viewers and Key Demographics

"Criminal Minds" Delivers Its Time Period's Largest Audience Since February 2003

"60 Minutes" and "48 Hours Mystery" Are The Week's Top News Magazines

CBS captured its first weekly win of the season in adults 18-49, placed first in adults 25-54 for the second straight week and maintained its dominance as America's most watched network, in the week ending Oct. 16, week four of the 2005-2006 season.

CBS delivered its largest weekly audience and highest rated in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since the week ending May 22 (the week of the "Everybody Loves Raymond" series finale and the two-hour CSI season finale).

CBS had five of the top 10 programs in viewers and four of the top 10 in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers, CBS (13.43m) beat ABC (10.67m), FOX (10.53m) and NBC (9.57m). Season-to-date, CBS (12.92m) leads ABC (11.21m), NBC (9.56m) and FOX (8.45m).

For the week in households, CBS (8.7/14) enjoyed a +26% advantage over both ABC and FOX (6.9/11, each) and +36% over NBC (6.4/10). Season-to-date, CBS (8.4/14) is first in households, outpacing ABC by +15% (7.3/12), NBC by +31% (6.4/10) and FOX by +53% (5.5/09).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 18-49 (4.2/11) for the first time this season and first in adults 25-54 (5.3/12) for the second consecutive. Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +2% in households, +8% in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and +11% in adults 18-34 (3.0/09 from 2.7/08). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and second in adults 18-49 (-0.2 behind ABC).

� SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA won its time period in households (10.5/17), viewers (17.85m), adults 25-54 (8.0/20), adults 18-49 (6.5/18) and adults 18-34 (4.8/15). Compared to last week's broadcast, SURVIVOR was up +4% in adults 18-34 (from 4.6/14), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 6.3/17) and +5% in adults 25-54 (from 7.6/19). This is the best delivery for SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA since the first episode on 9/15/05 in adults 18-49, matches the best adults 25-54 performance and is the highest rated in adults 18-34.

� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (17.4/26), viewers (28.34m), adults 25-54 (12.2/27), adults 18-49 (10.0/25) and adults 18-34 (7.4/21). CSI beat NBC, ABC and FOX combined from 9:00-10:00PM by +4% in households (vs. 16.8/25), +13% in viewers (vs. 25.04m), +12% in adults 25-54 (vs. 10.9/25), +5% in adults 18-49 (vs. 9.5/24) and nearly topped the three networks combined in adults 18-34 (7.4/21 vs. 7.6/23).

� WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (13.4/22), viewers (20.55m), adults 25-54 (8.2/20) and adults 18-49 (6.7/18). This is only the second time WITHOUT A TRACE beat "ER" in adults 18-49 with head-to-head first run episodes. WITHOUT A TRACE beat "ER" by +46% in households (vs. 9.2/15), +10% in 18-49 (vs. 6.1/16), +17% in adults 25-54 (vs. 7.0/17) and by nearly +7 million viewers (vs. 13.60m, +51%).

� NCIS was first in households (10.9/17), viewers (16.78m), adults 25-54 (5.9/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11) for the fourth consecutive week and was Tuesday's most watched program.

� CRIMINAL MINDS (8.9/13, 13.76m) was second in viewers, adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.2/10). CRIMINAL MINDS posted this time period's largest audience with a regularly scheduled program since 2/26/03's 60 MINUTES II (which had Dan Rather's interview with Saddam Hussein), best adults 25-54 delivery since 11/26/03 and in adults 18-49 since 3/16/05.

� CSI: NY was first in households (9.8/16), viewers (15.23m), adults 25-54 (6.3/15) and adults 18-49 (5.3/14). CSI: NY easily topped NBC's "Law & Order" by +32% in households (vs. 7.4/12), +47% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.6/10), +51% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.5/09) and +39% in viewers (vs. 10.92m -- nearly a 4.5 million viewer lead). CSI: NY beat "Invasion" by +32% in households (vs. 7.4/12), +13% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.6/13), +10% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.8/12) and +31% in viewers (vs. 11.58m � over 3.6 million viewer lead).

� GHOST WHISPERER won its time period in households (6.7/12), viewers (9.99m), adults 25-54 (3.4/11) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.3/08, with ABC).

� THRESHOLD (5.2/09, 8.07m) was tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.1/08, with FOX), second behind FOX's baseball in viewers (8.07m) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). Even with strong competition from baseball on FOX, THRESHOLD retained 100% of its adults 18-34 delivery, 98% of its household delivery, 96% of its adults 18-49 audience and 94% of its adults 25-54 performance compared to last week.

� NUMB3RS was first for the fourth consecutive week in households (7.4/13), viewers (11.09m) and adults 25-54 (4.2/12). NUMB3RS was second behind FOX's baseball in adults 18-49 (3.1/10). NUMB3RS was the night's most watched program and top rated in households, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the third consecutive Friday.

� TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (9.8/14), viewers (15.24m), adults 25-54 (6.3/13) and second in adults 18-49 (5.0/12). Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +5% in both households (from 9.3/14) and adults 25-54 (from 6.0/13 and +4% in adults 18-49 (from 4.8/11).

� CSI: MIAMI was first in households (11.9/18), viewers (18.49m), adults 25-54 (7.5/17) and adults 18-49 (6.2/15).

� 48 HOURS MYSTERY was first in households (6.1/11), viewers (8.77m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.3/09, with NBC) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08, with NBC). This is 48 HOURS MYSTERY best delivery in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 1/15/05.

� 60 MINUTES (7:56-8:56 PM) posted a 10.3/16 with 15.50m viewers, 5.1/12 in adults 25-54 and 4.0/10 in adults 18-49. From 8:00-9:00PM, 60 MINUTES was first in households, second in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
