The Premiere of "Survivor: Panama -- Exile Island" Tops The Fall Edition Premiere ("Survivor: Guatemala") in Viewers and Key Demographics

"Courting Alex" Is the Week's Top New Comedy; "Criminal Minds" Is The Week's Top New Drama

"CSI: Miami" Delivers Its Largest Audience of the Season and Highest Rated in Adults 25-54

"Close to Home" Has Its Second Largest Audience of the Season

In a week dominated by Super Bowl XL, CBS placed second in viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Feb. 5, week 20 of the 2005-2006 television season.

For the week in viewers, CBS (12.08m) trailed ABC (22.90m) and topped FOX (10.31m) and NBC (7.64m). In viewers season-to-date, CBS (12.97m) leads, followed by ABC (11.57m), NBC (9.00m) and FOX (8.84m).

In households, CBS (7.7/12) was -36% behind ABC (12.0/19) and +24% ahead of FOX (6.2/10) and +51% ahead of NBC (5.1/08). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.4/14), outpacing ABC by +15% (7.3/12), NBC by +40% (6.0/10) and FOX by +53% (5.5/09).

For the week in demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (4.7/11) and third in adults 18-49 (3.7/09). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +10% in households, +21% in adults 25-54 and +19% in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.9/12, with ABC) and second in adults 18-49 (3.9/11).

� The premiere of SURVIVOR: PANAMA � EXILE ISLAND (P) won its time period in viewers (19.20m), adults 25-54 (8.5/20), adults 18-49 (7.0/18) and adults 18-34 (5.0/15). Compared to "Survivor: Guatemala's" first episode the week prior to the start of the 2005-2006 season, SURVIVOR: PANAMA was up +4% in viewers (from 18.41m), +6% each in adults 18-34 (from 4.7/16), adults 18-49 (from 6.6/19) and adults 25-54 (from 8.0/21).

-- SURVIVOR: PANAMA -- EXILE ISLAND beat "Dancing with the Stars" from 8:00-9:00PM by +43% in adults 18-34 (vs. 3.5/10), +56% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.5/12), +49% in adults 25-54 (5.7/13) and +1.26m viewers (from 17.94m, +7%).

� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (17.1/25), viewers (28.37m), adults 25-54 (11.9/26), adults 18-49 (9.6/23) and adults 18-34 (6.8/18).

� WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (13.5/22), viewers (20.80m), adults 25-54 (8.1/19), adults 18-49 (6.7/17) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (5.0/15, with NBC).

� COURTING ALEX was first in households (8.6/13), second in viewers (13.27m), adults 25-54 (5.7/12) and adults 18-49 (4.5/10). Compared to last week's premiere, COURTING ALEX retained 90% of both its households and adults 25-54 ratings, 88% of its adults 18-49 performance and 89% of its viewers.

� CSI: MIAMI won its time period in households (13.2/21), viewers (20.43m), adults 25-54 (8.7/20), adults 18-49 (6.8/17) and adults 18-34 (4.3/12). This is CSI: MIAMI's best viewer and adults 25-54 deliveries of the season, the second best household performance and matches the second best adults 18-49 ratings.

� CRIMINAL MINDS (R) was first in households (8.7/13), viewers (13.06m), second in adults 25-54 (5.0/11) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09). CRIMINAL MINDS rebroadcast topped a rerun of ABC's "Lost" in households (vs. 6.0/09, +45%), viewers (vs. 9.41m, +39%), adults 25-54 (vs. 4.1/09, +22%) and adults 18-49 (vs. 3.5/08, +6%).

� CSI: NY was first in households (10.7/18), viewers (16.42m), adults 25-54 (6.8/16), adults 18-49 (5.3/14) and adults 18-34 (3.8/11).

� CLOSE TO HOME was first in households (7.7/13), viewers (12.13m), adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08). This is CLOSE TO HOME's second best delivery in viewers.

� SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS TOP 40 COUNTDOWN (S) was first in households (5.5/10), viewers (9.21m), adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/09). Compared to last year's SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS special, CBS was up +3% in adults 25-54 and +4% in adults 18-49.

� 48 HOURS MYSTERY (5.8/10, 8.60m) was first in adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08). This is 48 HOURS MYSTERY's best delivery in households, viewers and key demos since 11/26/05.
