Ncis and "The Unit" Post Week-To-Week Increases in Viewers and Key Demographics

"NCIS" AND "THE UNIT" POST WEEK-TO-WEEK INCREASES IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS

"Smith" Places Second in Key Demographics

CBS Tuesday dramas NCIS and THE UNIT both posted week-to-week growth in viewers and key demographics, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sept. 26.

NCIS (8.7/14, 13.80m) averaged 4.7/12 in adults 25-54 and 3.4/09 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week's premiere, NCIS was up +2% in both households (from 8.5/13) and adults 25-54 (from 4.6/12), even in adults 18-49 and added +320,000 viewers (from 13.48m, +2%).

THE UNIT was second in households (7.7/12), viewers (12.03m), adults 25-54 (4.7/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). THE UNIT built on its NCIS lead-in in adults 18-49 (+6%) and matched the adults 25-54 performance. Compared to last week's premiere, THE UNIT was up +3% in households (from 7.5/11), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/10), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09) and added +220,000 viewers (from 11.81m, +2%).

At 10PM, the second episode of SMITH (6.4/11, 9.75m) was second in adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09, +0.2 rating points ahead of "Boston Legal").

For the night, CBS was second in households (7.6/12) and viewers (11.80m).

Final Tuesday ratings will be available this afternoon.

NCIS (8.9/14, 14.12m) averaged 4.7/12 in adults 25-54 and 3.4/10 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week's premiere, NCIS was up +5% in households (from 8.5/13), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/12), even in adults 18-49 and added +640,000 viewers (from 13.48m, +5%).

THE UNIT was second in households (7.6/12), viewers (11.96m), adults 25-54 (4.7/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). THE UNIT built on its NCIS lead-in in adults 18-49 (+6%) and matched the adults 25-54 performance. Compared to last week's premiere, THE UNIT was up +1% in households (from 7.5/11), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/10), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09) and added +150,000 viewers (from 11.81m, +1%).

At 10PM, the second episode of SMITH (6.4/11, 9.67m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09). SMITH's +0.5 rating point lead over "Boston Legal" in adults 18-49 is up from +0.2 rating point last week.

For the night, CBS was second in households (7.7/12) and viewers (11.92m).
