"NBC SNF" Wins Night in Metered Markets, Outrates "Desperate Housewives"

NEW YORK Nov. 13, 2006 Last night's Bears-Giants "NBC Sunday Night Football" matchup, won by Chicago 38-20, drew a 13.6/20 in the metered market overnight ratings, giving NBC a primetime win and outrating every show head-to-head, including an original "Desperate Housewives." The 13.6/20 is even with last year's Week 10 ABC "Monday Night Football" game, which featured the Dallas Cowboys 21-20 fourth-quarter comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

NBC rated an 11.0 overnight rating for the night in primetime, 108 percent higher than the same night last year (5.3). The 13.6 for "NBC SNF" is up 131% versus NBC's 8:30-11 p.m. 5.9 average on the same night last year.

NBC drew a 14.4 overnight rating between 9-10 p.m., outrating all of its competition, including an original episode of "Desperate Housewives" (14.2).

Final national ratings will be available tomorrow.
