CBS's Monday Comedy Block Delivers Its Best Viewer Performance Since Oct. 9 and Highest Adult 18-49 and Adult 25-54 Ratings Since Oct. 16

In a week that included a mix of first-run episodes and rebroadcasts as well as the State of the Union Address, CBS placed second in viewers and key demographics with five of the week's top 10 and nine of the top 15 most watched programs, according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for the week ending Jan. 28, week 19 of the 2006-2007 television season.

For the week in viewers, CBS (11.64m) trailed FOX (12.56m) but finished ahead of ABC (7.99m) and NBC (7.74m). Season-to-date in viewers, CBS (12.52m) is first followed by ABC (10.11m), NBC (9.82m) and FOX (9.04m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08). Season-to-date, CBS is in sole possession of first place in both adults 18-49 (3.7/10) and adults 25-54 (4.7/12).

For the week in households, CBS (7.5/12) was +1% ahead of FOX (7.4/11), +44% ahead of ABC (5.2/08) and +50% ahead of NBC (5.0/08). Season-to-date in household, CBS is first (8.0/13), ahead of ABC by +23% (6.5/11), NBC by +27% (6.3/10) and FOX by +40% (5.7/09).

-- On Monday, CBS was first in households (9.0/14), viewers (14.11m) and adults 25-54 (5.8/13). From 8:00-10:00PM, the comedy block delivered its best viewer (11.74m) performance since Oct. 9 and highest ratings in both adults 18-49 (3.9/10) and adults 25-54 (4.9/11) since Oct. 16.

? HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was second in households (5.9/09), viewers (9.42m), tied for second in adults 25-54 (4.1/10, with FOX). This is HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 (3.5/09) since Nov. 27.

? THE CLASS posted its best households (5.6/08), viewers (8.90m), adults 25-54 (4.1/09) and adults 18-49 (3.2/08) delivery since Oct. 9.

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (10.0/14) and viewers (15.85m). This is TWO AND A HALF MEN's best households, adults 18-49 (4.8/11) and adults 25-54 (6.2/13) since Dec. 11, best viewer delivery since Oct. 16.

? THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE scored its best delivery in households (8.3/12), viewers (12.81m) and adults 25-54 (5.2/11) since Oct. 16.

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (12.1/19), viewers (18.86m), adults 25-54 (7.6/18) and adults 18-49 (6.1/15). CSI: MIAMI topped NBC's "Studio 60" and ABC's "What About Brian" combined in households (vs. 8.5/13, +42%), adults 18-49 (vs. 5.6/14, +9%), adults 25-54 (vs. 6.3/15, +21%) and viewers (vs. 12.58m, +50%). This is CSI: MIAMI's best delivery this season in viewers, matches the best adults 25-54 performance, is the best delivery in households and adults 18-49 since Nov. 13.

? NCIS was second in households (9.3/14), viewers (14.83m), adults 25-54 (4.7/11) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09).

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.9/15), viewers (13.35m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10). CSI: NY was the night's top scripted program in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (9:00-10:01 PM) was second in households (13.2/20), viewers (21.17m, -330,000 viewers behind ABC), adults 25-54 (8.3/18), adults 18-49 (6.7/16) and adults 18-34 (4.6/12).

? SHARK (R) (10:01-11:00PM) was first in households (9.3/16), viewers (14.11m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/10). This episode topped its first run broadcast (on Thanksgiving night) by +21% in households (from 7.7/14), +24% in adults 25-54 (from 4.2/11), +23% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09) and added +1.69m (from 12.42m, +14%). This is SHARK's best delivery with a rebroadcast in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 to date and topped a first-run broadcast of "Men in Trees" in viewers and key demographics.

-- Sunday, CBS was first in households (9.3/14), viewers (14.74m), adults 25-54 (4.1/09) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08, with FOX). This is the third consecutive Sunday win for CBS in households, viewers and adults 25-54.

? 60 MINUTES was first in households (9.3/15), viewers (14.27m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.7/09, with ABC) and second in adults 18-49 (2.6/07).

? COLD CASE was first in households (9.4/14), viewers (15.13m) and adults 25-54 (4.9/11). COLD CASE is the night's #1 program in households, viewers and adults 25-54 with its best household delivery since 10/1/06 and best viewer performance since the season premiere on 9/24/06.

? HALLMARK HALL OF FAME "The Valley of Light" (S) was first in households (9.3/14), viewers (14.77m), adults 25-54 (3.9/09) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.9/07, with ABC and -0.1 behind NBC). This is the best viewer delivery for any movie on any broadcast network since 4/30/06's CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise" (14.81m viewers).
