Thursday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC won the opening night of the 2007 February Sweep in Total Viewers (16.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (6.3/16). Leading its third consecutive Thursday in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, ABC overshadowed second-place CBS by a margin of 34% (6.3/16 vs. 4.7/12). ABC also marked its third straight Thursday as the No. 1 television network in Adults 25-54 (6.8/16), Adults 18-34 (6.2/17) and Teens 12-17 (2.2/7).

Growing by 3.0 million viewers and by 75% in Adults 18-49 from the same night last year (13.2 million & 3.6/9 on 2/2/06), ABC registered its first victory on the opening night of any February Sweep in at least 15 years pre-dating the start of Nielsens electronic data base in September 1991.

Ugly Betty (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABCs freshman Ugly Betty ranked No. 1 during the 8 oclock hour in Total Viewers (14.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.7/12 - tie). Betty also won the slot with Adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and remained dominant in its time period across each of the key women demographics: W18-34 (6.5/17), W18-49 (6.6/16) and W25-54 (7.5/17). Among its core audience of Women 18-34, Ugly Betty has been the No. 1 program in its hour on each of the series regular original telecast. Betty stood as the No. 2 TV program on Thursday with Women 18-34, behind only lead-out Greys Anatomy.

Ugly Betty posted its second-highest-ever rating among Adults 18-49, trailing only its series debut in September. The program marked series-high numbers with Adults 18-34, Women 18-34 and across each of the men demographics (M18-34/M18-49/M25-54).

Thursdays No. 1 TV program, ABC's Grey's Anatomy outdrew CBS C.S.I. at 9:00 p.m. by 2.6 million viewers (23.9 million vs. 21.3 million) and by 50% in Adults 18-49 (10.2/23 vs. 6.8/16). It was Greys biggest winning advantage ever over an original C.S.I. in Adults 18-49. The ABC medical drama has beaten the CBS procedural crime drama in Adults 18-49 on all 12 of their original head-to-head match-ups in the time period this season.

Greys Anatomy posted its second-highest rating this season in Adults 18-49 and matched a season-high with Adults 18-34. Greys posted the series second-highest-ever Women 18-34 rating, coming in behind only its post-Super Bowl airing last year.
