ABC Tallies its Longest Monday Winning Streak in Well Over 7 Years

Overshadowing its Time Period Competitors in Viewers and Adults 18-49, "Dancing with the Stars" Qualifies as Monday's Most-Watched TV Show

Monday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC ranked No. 1 on the first Monday of the 2007 May Sweep, leading second-place CBS by 2.6 million viewers (15.2 million vs. 12.6 million) and by 5% in Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 vs. 4.2/11). In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC turned in its strongest Monday in 5 weeks since 3/26/07.

Extending its run on the evening, ABC is delivering its longest Monday Total Viewer winning streak in well over 7 years since a streak during the 1999-00 season, from 10/18/99-1/09/00.

Compared to the first Monday of the May Sweep last year, ABC's numbers climbed year to year by 8.9 million viewers and by 29% in Adults 18-49 (6.3 million & 3.4/9 on 5/1/06).

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-9:45 p.m.)
