CBS Has The Week's Top 6 Scripted Programs And 9 Of The Top 10

All Three Editions of "Big Brother 8" Posts Week-to-Week Increases

"Big Brother 8 Sunday" Notches Best Viewer Delivery for the Summer Series on Any Night This Summer

"Big Brother 8 Sunday" Also Hits Season Highs in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54

CBS placed first in viewers for the ninth time in 10 weeks this summer, first in adults 25-54 (tie) and second in adults 18-49 as the Network garnered the week's top six scripted programs and nine of the top 10, according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for the week ending Aug. 5, week 46 of the 2006-2007 television year.

TWO AND A HALF MEN, WITHOUT A TRACE, CSI, CSI: MIAMI, CSI: NY and NCIS were the week's top six scripted series. With the addition of CRIMINAL MINDS, COLD CASE and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, CBS had 9 of the top 10 scripted series.

For the week in viewers, CBS (6.48m) led FOX (5.56m), NBC (5.34m) and ABC (4.29m). Summer-to-date, CBS (6.85m) leads FOX (5.94m), NBC (5.66m) and ABC (4.78m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.3/07, with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (1.8/06).

For the week in households, CBS (4.4/08) was +26% ahead of both NBC (3.5/06) and FOX (3.5/07) and +52% ahead of ABC (2.9/05). Summer-to-date in households, CBS (4.7/08) is first with a +24% advantage over NBC (3.8/07), +27% advantage over FOX (3.7/07) and +47% advantage over ABC (3.2/06).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

? BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY was second in households (4.7/08), viewers (7.12m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08), adults 18-49 (2.8/08) and adults 18-34 (2.3/07). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY was up +4% in households (from 4.5/08), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/08), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/08), +10% in adults 18-34 (from 2.1/07) and added +270,000 viewers (from 6.85m, +4%).

? BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was first in adults 25-54 (3.1/10), second in households (4.6/09), viewers (7.09m), adults 18-49 (2.7/10) and adults 18-34 (2.1/08). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was up +2% in households (from 4.5/09), up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/10), +5% in adults 18-34 (from 2.0/08) and even in adults 18-49.

? BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was first in households (4.7/09), viewers (7.52m), adults 25-54 (3.1/09), adults 18-49 (2.8/09) and second in adults 18-34 (2.1/07). Compared to last Sunday, BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was up +18% in households (from 4.0/07), +19% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/08), +17% in both adults 18-49 (from 2.4/08) and adults 18-34 (from 1.8/07) and added +1.35m viewers (from 6.17m, +21%).
