CBS Places First For The 11th Time In 12 Weeks

Network Has the Week's Top 8 Scripted Programs

"Big Brother 8" Tuesday Delivers the Best Key Adult Demos of the Season on Any Night While "Big Brother 8' Sunday Edition Posts the Night's Best Demos Yet

CBS maintained its summer dominance, winning in viewers for the 11th time in 12 weeks behind the strength of rebroadcasts of its hit dramas and comedies which included the top eight scripted programs, according to Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for the week ending Aug. 19, week 48 of the 2006-2007 television year.

CSI, TWO AND A HALF MEN, WITHOUT A TRACE, NCIS, CRIMINAL MINDS, COLD CASE, CSI: MIAMI and CSI: NY were the week's top scripted series.

Among first-run programming, BIG BROTHER 8 continues to build with the Tuesday edition delivering the best key adult demographics on any night this summer and the Sunday edition posting that night's best demos yet.

For the week in viewers, CBS (6.71m) led FOX (5.97m), NBC (5.32m) and ABC (4.44m). Summer-to-date in viewers, CBS (6.88m) leads FOX (5.93m), NBC (5.64m) and ABC (4.73m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in both adults 25-54 (2.4/07, -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (1.9/06).

For the week in households, CBS (4.5/08) was +18% ahead of FOX (3.8/07), +29% ahead of NBC (3.5/06) and +50% ahead of ABC (3.0/05). Summer-to-date in households, CBS (4.7/08) has a +27% advantage over both NBC and FOX (3.7/07, each) and +47% advantage over ABC (3.2/06).

? BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY was second in households (4.9/08), viewers (7.56m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09), adults 18-49 (3.2/09, -0.1 behind NBC) and adults 18-34 (2.4/08, -0.2 behind NBC). This is the best delivery of any night of BIG BROTHER 8 in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and the best Tuesday delivery in both households and viewers this summer. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 8 TUESDAY was up +4% in households (from 4.7/08), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.3/08), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 3.0/08) and added +350,000 viewers (from 7.21m, +5%).

? BIG BROTHER 8 THURSDAY was second in households (4.7/09), viewers (7.51m), adults 25-54 (3.2/10, -0.2 behind FOX), adults 18-49 (2.8/09) and adults 18-34 (2.1/08) - all behind the season finale of "So You Think You Can Dance".

? BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was first in adults 25-54 (3.3/09), adults 18-49 (2.9/08), tied for first in households (4.7/08, with both NBC and ABC), second in viewers (7.38m, -0.17m behind ABC) and adults 18-34 (2.3/07). This is BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY's best deliveries in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 and matches the best delivery in households. Compared to last Sunday, BIG BROTHER 8 SUNDAY was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.2/09), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/09), +15% in adults 18-34 (from 2.0/07) and even in households.

? POWER OF 10 was second in households (5.1/10), viewers (7.67m), adults 25-54 (2.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/07), behind the Wednesday finale of "So You Think You Can Dance." POWER OF 10 posted increases at 8:30 PM with gains of +4% in households (5.2/09 from 5.0/10), +18% in adults 25-54 (2.6/08 from 2.2/07), +17% in adults 18-49 (2.1/07 from 1.8/07), +14% in adults 18-34 (1.6/06 from 1.4/05) while adding +570,000 viewers (7.96m from 7.39m, +8%).
