NBC RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 28-MAY 4

ON TUESDAY, A DOMINANT 'LAW & ORDER: SVU,' FEATURING GUEST-STAR ROBIN WILLIAMS IN A RARE DRAMATIC TELEVISION PERFORMANCE, BEATS THE COMPETITION COMBINED IN ADULTS 18-49 AND OTHER KEY MEASURES

'MEDIUM' CONTINUES TO SUMMON STRONG NUMBERS ON MONDAY, UP 17 PERCENT IN 18-49 AND 22 PERCENT IN TOTAL VIEWERS THIS SEASON VERSUS LAST

BURBANK, Calif. � May 6, 2008 � Paced by a strong performance from "Law & Order: SVU," which was NBC's top show of the week in adults 18-49 and total viewers, NBC averaged a 2.0 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers overall for the week of April 28-May 4, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Through 32 weeks of the 2007-08 season, Fox leads in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49, with the race for #2 extremely tight. Season-to-date averages in adults 18-49 for the period September 24, 2007 through May 4, 2008 are Fox (4.2/11), ABC and CBS (3.0/8), NBC (2.9/8), Univision (1.5/4), CW (1.0/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1).

NBC is the only major network that has not seen its audience get significantly older this season versus last and it is now the "second-youngest" of the major broadcast networks. Through the first 32 weeks of the 2007-08 season, NBC is nearly matching its median age from the prior season (48.3 years this season vs. 48.2 years last season). In this same comparison, ABC's median age has increased by 2.2 years (to 49.2 from 47.0), CBS's median age has increased to 52.7 years old from 52.0 and Fox's median age has increased by 1.3 years to 43.9 from 42.6 years old at this point last season.

Primetime averages for the week of April 28-May 4 in adults 18-49 were Fox (3.5/10), ABC (2.9/8), CBS (2.6/7), NBC (2.0/6), Univision (1.6/5), CW (1.1/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (10.0 million), Fox (9.4 million), ABC (9.2 million), NBC (6.5 million), Univision (3.8 million), CW (2.6 million) and Telemundo (1.0 million).

NBC highlights for the week of April 28-May 4:

* "Medium" continues to deliver strong numbers on Monday. Its April 28 telecast was up 35 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period this season prior to "Medium's" debut. Season-to-date, "Medium" is up 17 percent in 18-49 and 22 percent in total viewers versus last season.

* Also on Monday, despite competition from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," CBS's first-run comedy lineup and a first-run episode of "House," a two-hour "Deal or No Deal" grew by 61 percent in 18-49 rating and by 42 percent or 3.6 million persons in total viewers from its first to its final half-hour.

* On Tuesday, "Law & Order: SVU," featuring guest star Robin Williams in a rare television dramatic performance, beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and other measures, including all key adult-male demos. "SVU" also won the hour in total viewers. In adults 18-49, "SVU" scored a 105 percent ratings advantage over its closest competitor.

* On Thursday, "The Office" won its tough time period among men 18-49 and men 18-34, beating first-run drama competition from "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI" in those elusive demos.

* Also on Thursday, "My Name is Earl" was up 17 percent and "Scrubs" was up 16 percent in the key demographic of adults 18-49 versus their prior week performance. "Earl" and "Scrubs" each ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults and men 18-34 in their tough time periods.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of April 28-May 4:

On Monday, April 28 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (2.9 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49, 10.0 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period in nine weeks (since February 25). In total viewers, it was NBC's second-biggest overall audience in this slot since February 25. "Deal" grew from its first to its final half-hour by 61 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.7/8 from a 2.3/7) and by 42 percent or 3.6 million persons in total viewers (to 12.2 million from 8.6 million).

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Medium" (3.1/8 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Medium" was up 35 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period prior to "Medium's" debut on January 7 (3.1 vs. 2.3, "live plus same day"). Season-to-date, "Medium" is up 17 percent in 18-49 versus last season (3.5 vs. 3.0, "most current") and up 22 percent in total viewers (10.4 million vs. 8.5 million).

On Tuesday, April 29 at 8 p.m. ET, "Most Outrageous Moments" delivered a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall. From 8:30-10 p.m., an encore telecast of "Saturday Night Live: The Best of Alec Baldwin" averaged a 1.2/3 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its third, the "SNL" special grew by 56 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4/3 from an 0.9/2).

Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.1/11 in 18-49, 12.3 million viewers overall) beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and numerous other measures, including all key adult-male demographics. "SVU" also won the slot in total viewers.

In adults 18-49, "SVU" dominated with a 105 percent advantage over its closest competitor (4.1 vs. a 2.0 for CBS's "CSI" encore) and a 128 percent advantage over ABC's first-run "Women's Murder Club" (4.1 vs. 1.8).

From half-hour to half-hour, "SVU" increased by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.4 from a 3.9), while the "CSI" encore declined by 5 percent (to a 2.0 from a 2.1) and "Women's Murder Club" dropped by 20 percent (to a 1.6 from a 2.0).

On Wednesday, April 30 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" averaged a 2.0/6 in 18-49 and 7.9 million viewers overall. Despite competition from "American Idol" in its second hour, "Deal" increased by 29 percent in 18-49 rating from its first to its final half-hour (to a 2.2 from a 1.7). "Deal" ranked #1 from 8-9 p.m. in total viewers.

Wednesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Law & Order" (3.0/8 in adults 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key and was #1 among men 18-34.

On Thursday, May 1, at 8 p.m. ET, "My Name is Earl" (2.8/9 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults and men 18-34. Versus the prior week, "Earl" was up 17 percent in 18-49 rating (2.8/9 vs. 2.4/7).

At 8:30 p.m., "Scrubs" (2.9/8 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults and men 18-34, topping the second half of "Survivor" in those key demos. "Scrubs" was up versus the prior week by 16 percent in 18-49 rating (2.9/8 vs. 2.5/7).

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (4.0/10 in 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous half-hour by 38 percent in adults 18-49, despite tough competition in the time period from first-run episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI." "The Office" ranked #1 in men 18-49 and men 18-34, topping the drama competition in those key demos, and ranked #2 in adults 18-34.

From 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) was up one-tenth of a rating point in adults 18-49 versus NBC's result in this time period on the same night last year (2.7 vs. a 2.6 for "Scrubs" in this slot on May 3, 2007).

Thursday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "ER" averaged a 3.0/8 in 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers overall. From half-hour to half-hour, "ER" increased by 0.3 of an 18-49 rating point, or 10 percent (to a 3.2 from a 2.9), while CBS's "Without a Trace" declined by 0.3 of a point (to a 3.1 from a 3.4) and ABC's "Lost" lost 0.2 of a point (to a 4.6 from a 4.8).

On Friday, May 2 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Most Outrageous Moments" delivered a 1.3/5 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., a second encore "Most Outrageous Moments" delivered a 1.5/5 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall. Versus the prior week, "Most Outrageous Moments" grew in the hour by 56 percent in 18-49 rating (1.4 vs. 0.9) and by 31 percent, or about 1.2 million persons in total viewers (to 4.9 million from 3.8 million).

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.9/6 in adults 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key measures, and ranked #1 among women 18-34. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by 31 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1/7 from a 1.6/5) and by 19 percent or nearly 1.1 million persons in total viewers (to 6.6 million from 5.5 million).

On Saturday, May 3, at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Medium" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m., an encore "Law & Order" averaged a 1.3/4 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall.

NBC's primetime performance increased steadily half-hour to half-hour on Saturday, building by 133 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4/4 from a 0.6/2) and by 110 percent, or more than 2.8 million persons in total viewers (to 5.3 million from 2.5 million) from the first to the final half-hour of primetime.

On Sunday, May 4 from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" delivered a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall. At 8 p.m., "Monk" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., "Psych" delivered a 1.0/2 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall.

At 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 80 percent in 18-49 rating to match NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this slot in four weeks.
