"NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" PRODUCES BEST OVERNIGHT RATING OF SEASON; 2ND BEST IN SNF HISTORY

SNF's 15.4 Rating More than Doubles Finale for Survivor on CBS; On Pace to Be No. 1 Program of the Week

NEW YORK Dec. 15, 2008 -- The Dallas Cowboys 20-8 victory over the Super Bowl champion New York Giants on "NBC Sunday Night Football" posted a 15.4 overnight rating and 24 share to make it the highest-rated SNF game of the season and the second highest in SNF history according to overnight rating data provided by Nielsen Media Research.

Last night's game registered the best metered market rating for an SNF game since the undefeated Patriots beat the Eagles 31-28 in Week 12 last season (15.6/24). It was the second highest overnight rating in the franchise's three-year history, 39 percent higher than last season's Redskins-Giants game (11.1/17 on 12/16/07) and the No. 1 rated game of the season in the Dallas-Ft. Worth DMA (39.0/55).

The No. 1 show in the November sweeps period among adults 18-49 and other key advertising demographics, "Sunday Night Football" continues its ratings dominance this season. The Giants-Cowboys game was easily the highest rated broadcast of the night on any network while facing strong competition including the finale of Survivor on CBS (7.9/12), which drew less than half the rating of SNF.

Based on these metered-market results and other preliminary data, "NBC Sunday Night Football" is likely to rank No. 1 among primetime programs for the week of December 8-14 among households, average viewers and other key ratings categories. Official results for the week are due from Nielsen Tuesday morning.

Top Ten Metered Markets For Giants-Cowboys:
1. Dallas, 39.0/55 *Highest rated Cowboys game in Dallas-Ft. Worth DMA this season
