SUPERNATURAL Climbs to its Best Adults 18-34 Ratings Since Oct. 2006; Matches Its Best Men 18-34 Ratings EVER on The CW

April 7, 2009 (Burbank, CA) - With a schedule virtually filled with all original programming, The CW posted its best weekly performance (for the week of March 30, 2009) among women 18-34 (1.4/4), adults 18-34 (1.1/3) and viewers (2.1mil) in nearly 5 months (since the week of Nov. 17, 2008).

The CW's week was led by strong outings from GOSSIP GIRL, which delivered its best ratings in nearly 2 months, AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, which won its time period with women, and SUPERNATURAL, which posted some of its best adult and men 18-34 ratings since premiering on The CW.

Compared to a year ago (week of March 31, 2008), The CW was up double-digits this week in key demos including +40% among women 18-34 (1.4/4), +38% in adults 18-34 (1.1/3), +25% in adults 18-49 (1.0/3) and +33% in women 18-49 (1.2/3).

Key Highlights for the week:

MONDAY

GOSSIP GIRL climbed to its best adults 18-34 (1.8/5), adults 18-49 (1.3/3) and largest audience (2.5mil) in more than 2 months (since 1/12/09). GOSSIP GIRL was up over the prior week by 27% in women 18-34 (2.8/7), 29% in adults 18-34 (1.8/5), 18% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3), 19% in women 18-49 (1.9/5) and 10% in viewers (2.5mil).

TUESDAY

After being off for 7 weeks and facing an extended "American Idol," 90210 moved to 9p.m. Tuesdays, scoring The CW's best ratings in the time period since 9/16/08 with women 18-34 (2.1/5), best since 10/7/08 with adults 18-49 (1.1/3) and best since 11/4/08 with adults 18-34 (1.4/4).

WEDNESDAY

TOP MODEL won the 8:00-9:00p.m. time period among its target young women demos, including women 18-34 (3.1/10) and females 12-34 (3.0/10). TOP MODEL ranked second in the hour with adults 18-34 (1.9/6-tie Fox), finishing ahead of ABC and NBC.

TOP MODEL built week-to-week in all key categories, including 29% in women 18-34, 19% in adults 18-34, 29% in adults 18-49 (1.8/5), 33% in women 18-49 (2.8/8) and 38% in viewers (4.0mil).

THURSDAY

The CW's SUPERNATURAL delivered its best adults 18-34 (1.7/5) in nearly two and a half years (since Oct. 2006) and matched its best men 18-34 (1.9/6) EVER on The CW, despite facing NBC's "E.R." finale.

The CW scored its best Thursday night with men 18-34 (2.0/7) in more than 2 years (since 1/18/07), and matched its best Thursday night of the season among adults 18-34 (1.7/5). The CW also turned in its best Thursday performance among women 18-34 (1.5/4), adults 18-49 (1.6/4) and men 18-49 (1.8/5) since 1/29/09.

SMALLVILLE climbed to its best adults 18-34 (1.7/6) since 1/15/09 and its best adults 18-49 (1.7/5) since 1/29/09.
