Tuesdays Come Up Big for Discovery: Series Premiere of Swords: Life on the Line and Hit Series Colony Both Post Strong Numbers

TUESDAYS COME UP BIG FOR DISCOVERY: SERIES PREMIERE OF SWORDS: LIFE ON THE LINE AND HIT SERIES COLONY BOTH POST STRONG NUMBERS

- Discovery Channel is #1 primetime ad-supported cable network for M25-54 delivery -

On Tuesday, August 11, Discovery Channel was the #1 ad-supported primetime cable network for M25-54 delivery. Tuesday night's winning crown comes on the strength of new series premiere SWORDS: LIFE ON THE LINE, which ranked as the #2 primetime ad-supported cable telecast for M25-54 (1.35), and Discovery's latest hit series THE COLONY, the #5 primetime ad-supported cable telecast for M25-54 (1.14).

SWORDS: LIFE ON THE LINE, chronicling the high seas and high stakes of swordfishing in the North Atlantic's stormy Grand Banks, posted a 1.27 HH and 0.9 P25-54.

THE COLONY continues strong numbers in its third smash week with a 1.05 HH and 0.84 P25-54. Both series performed well in the key M18-49 demo. For M18-49, THE COLONY ranked at #3 (1.21) among ad-supported cable while SWORDS: LIFE ON THE LINE was #4 (1.19).

SWORDS: LIFE ON THE LINE ranked #11 in Prime for M25-54 delivery among all networks, surpassing several primetime broadcast programs, including Better Off Ted (ABC, 9pm & 9:30pm) and Medium (CBS, 10pm).
