During the week of August 24, 2009, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" saw week-to-week increases of 13% in Total Viewers (1.39 million vs. 1.23 million) and 8% in Adults 18-49 (550,000 vs. 509,000), drawing its largest audience in 6 weeks � since week of 7/13/09. In addition, "JKL" was up over the same week last year by 3% (1.35 million on week of 8/25/08).

� "JKL" outperformed NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" during the week in Total Viewers by 5% (1.39 million vs. 1.33 million).

Ratings Report for ABC News' "Nightline" For the Week of August 24, 2009

"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS -- OUTPERFORMS "TONIGHT SHOW" FOR 10th CONSECUTIVE WEEK

"NIGHTLINE" GROWS +23% AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS AND +1% AMONG A25-54 YEAR TO YEAR

"NIGHTLINE" INCREASES +19% IN TOTAL VIEWERS THIRD QUARTER TO DATE, WHILE "TONIGHT SHOW" DECLINES -40%

ABC News' "Nightline" was #1 among Total Viewers for the week of August 24, 2009, outperforming NBC's "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" and CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman," according to Nielsen Media Research. This marks the tenth week in a row "Nightline" has outperformed "Tonight" among Total Viewers. The last time "Nightline" beat "Tonight" ten consecutive weeks was in 1995. Among Adults 25-54 and 18-49, "Nightline" outperformed "Letterman" for second place. Additionally, "Nightline" outperformed "Tonight" by 740,000 Total Viewers.

"Nightline" continues to experience growth season to date, quarter to date, week to week and year to year. For the 34th consecutive week, "Nightline" grew among Total Viewers year to year. The program increased +23% versus the same week last year, while "Tonight" declined -39%. Among Adults 25-54, "Nightline" grew +1% compared to the same week last year, while "Tonight" declined -24%. Additionally, "Nightline" shrank the A25-54 gap with "Tonight" by 81% and the A18-49 gap by 40% year to year.

Quarter to date, "Nightline" is in first place among Total Viewers with 3.52 million, a growth of +19% vs. 2008 quarter to date, while "Tonight" has declined -40% in Total Viewers, -22% among A25-54 and -10% among A18-49.

Season to date, "Nightline" is solidly in second place with 3.76 million Total Viewers and 1.62 million Adults 25-54. The program is up +14% among Total Viewers, +3% among A 25-54 and +5% among A18-49. Week to week, "Nightline" grew +4% among Total Viewers and +2% among Adults 25-54. *Note: for the week of August 24th, "Nightline" is based on a four-day average.
