Scoring Cable's Overall Number-Two Spot
New iCarly Episode Takes Friday Night Crown on Basic Cable among Total Viewers, Kids and Tweens
Following a week of record-setting performances, Nickelodeon's dynamic duo of iCarly and Big Time Rush produced another night of stellar performances, topping all of basic cable with total viewers on Friday, Jan. 29.
Just closing its second week on Nickelodeon, Big Time Rush is quickly establishing itself as a hit, placing second only to iCarly among all basic cable programs with kids, tweens and total viewers (3.8 million) on Friday night. The new episode, "Big Time Bad Boy", took the top spot in its time period (8:30�9 p.m. ET/PT) with kids 6-11 (8.0/1.7 million K6-11, +129%), tweens (6.5/1.4 million T9-14, +210%) and kids 2-11 (6.2/2.2 million K2-11, +59%). The debut episode of Big Time Rush (Jan. 18) stands the highest-rated and most-watched live-action series premiere with kids, tweens and total viewers among all Nick series.
A brand-new episode of iCarly, "iWas a Pageant Girl" (8-8:30 p.m. ET/PT), scored basic cable's number-one telecast overall with total viewers (5.2 million, +143%) for Friday, and ranked as the top telecast with kids 6-11 (9.7/2.1 million, +203%), tweens 9-14 (8.6/1.9 million, 353%) and kids 2-11 (7.6/2.7 million, +111%). The new episode even topped basic cable in its time period with Adults 18-49 (1.1/1.2 million). iCarly currently stands as the number-one live-action series on basic cable with kids 2-11.
