Nickelodeon's iCarly Ranks as Friday's Top Scripted Telecast on All TV

Nickelodeon Finishes Week with a Clean Sweep among Basic Cable Nets with Kids and Total Viewers in Total Day

Airing alongside the Olympics, Nickelodeon's smash hit iCarly continues its first-place streak in prime time on Friday nights. A special extended replay of the record-setting iCarly "iSaved Your Life" episode (Feb. 12, 8-8:37 p.m., ET/PT) ranked as the number-one scripted telecast with total viewers (4.1 million) and kids 2-11 (2.3 million) on both broadcast and basic cable for the night. The performance also marks the third straight week that iCarly has topped all of basic cable on Fridays. Overall, with total viewers that night, iCarly placed third on all TV--only behind NBC's Olympics coverage and a new episode of CBS's Undercover Boss (4.2 million total viewers).

The telecast averaged a 6.5 rating among kids 2-11 (+27% over last year), and posted double- and triple-digit ratings gains with kids 6-11 (7.8/1.7 million, +77%) and tweens 9-14 (6.0/1.3 million, +114%).

The original telecast of "iSaved Your Life" (Monday, Jan. 18, 8 p.m. ET/PT) drew a record 11.2 million total viewers (source: NMR, live + same day data [12.4 million P2+ based on NMR, Live + 7 Day data]), marking it as Nickelodeon's highest-rated and most-watched live-action telecast ever with kids 2-11, kids 6-11, tweens 9-14 and total viewers. Year to date, iCarly ranks as the number-one live-action series on basic cable television with kids 2-11.

Nickelodeon closed the week (2/8/10�2/14/10) as the number-one basic cable network in total day with kids 2-11 (3.7/1.3 million, +3% in rating), kids 6-11 (3.2/681,000, +7%), and 2.4 million total viewers (+6% in delivery).

For the week, SpongeBob SquarePants (Saturday, Feb. 13, 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. ET/PT) ranked among the top 10 telecasts on basic cable with total viewers (4.4 and 4.9 million, respectively). SpongeBob (Feb. 13, 9:30 a.m. ET/PT) and The Penguins of Madagascar (Feb. 13, 10 a.m. ET/PT) ranked as the top two animated telecasts with kids 2-11 (7.1/2.5 million and 6.5/2.3 million, respectively).

Additionally, Nickelodeon's newest preschool offering Team Umizoomi scored the top three preschool telecasts for the week on broadcast and basic cable (7.7/1.1 million K2-5).
