UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - August 3, 2010 - Paced by the Wednesday edition of "America's Got Talent," which was the top program of the week in total viewers and tied with Tuesday's "Talent" to rank #4 for the week in adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 1.3 rating, 4 share in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall for the week of July 26-August 1, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" tied for #4 among all primetime programs this week in adults 18-49. In total viewers, the Wednesday "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the week, and the Tuesday "Talent" ranked #3. An edition of "America's Got Talent" has been the #1 non-sports telecast in total viewers every week the show has aired this summer, a streak that has now reached nine weeks in a row. The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" were also the #1 and #2 shows of the week in adults 25-54.

Also delivering top-25 ratings for the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49 were Wednesday's "Minute to Win It" (#17) and Monday's "Last Comic Standing" and "Dateline" (#22, tied).

Primetime averages for the week of July 26-August 1 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.6/6), ABC and CBS (1.4/5), NBC (1.3/4) and CW (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.0 million), ABC (4.9 million), NBC (4.7 million), Fox (4.5 million) and CW (1.0 million).

NBC highlights for the week of July 26-August 1

* On Monday, "Last Comic Standing" grew week-to-week by 6 percent in adults 18-49 and 12 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Monday, "Dateline NBC" reported the network's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in three weeks and biggest overall audience in the hour in eight weeks. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew by 27 percent in 18-49 rating and by 26 percent or more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers, while the other major networks declined half-hour to half-hour in both categories. "Dateline" won the 10:30-11 p.m. ET half-hour in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" was #1 in the time period in adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories

* The Tuesday edition of "Talent" grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 38 percent in adult 18-49 rating and by 21 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers. For its concluding hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" was a dominant #1 among the major networks in every key ratings category, beating the combined ABC-CBS results in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49, 25-54, total viewers, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

* On Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

* The Wednesday "Talent" won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, taking the hour by a margin of 30 percent in adults 18-49 and by 57 percent or more than 3.5 million persons in total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, "Minute to Win It" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 24 percent in 18-49 rating and 22 percent in total viewers. For its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "Minute" finished within 0.3 of a rating point of first place in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in all key male demos in a time period that included competition from CBS's "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

* Additionally on Wednesday, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and other key demographics. In adults 18-49, "SVU" has now ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the Wednesday 10 p.m. ET time period with its last eight consecutive telecasts.

* NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday in adults 25-54 and total viewers and tied for #1 in adults 18-49, with a 2.0 rating from 8-11 p.m. ET versus Fox's 2.0 from 8-10 p.m. In head-to-head competition from 8-10 p.m., NBC topped Fox in adults 18-49 (2.3 vs. 2.0).

* On Thursday, an encore telecast of "Community" scored that show's top regular-slot rating in eight weeks in adults 18-49.

* Also on Thursday, "30 Rock" hit an eight-week time-period high in 18-49 rating and "Parks and Recreation" scored an eight-week series high.

* On Friday, "Friday Night Lights" tied for #1 in the time period in adults 18-49 and men 18-34 and was #1 outright among the major networks in men 18-49 and men 25-54. This marks the seventh time in nine weeks that "Lights" has finished #1 or tied for #1 in the time period in adults 18-49.

* Also on Friday, "Dateline" ranked #2 among the major networks in its two-hour time period in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was #1 in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by 63 percent in 18-49 rating and by 43 percent or more than 1.7 million persons in total viewers

* On Sunday, a two-hour encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, July 26 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.3 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since June 7.

Monday from 9-10 p.m. ET, "Last Comic Standing" (1.7/5 in adults 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) was up versus the prior week by 6 percent in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.6) and by 12 percent in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 4.0 million). In the time period, "Last Comic" ranked #1 among the major networks in men 18-34 and #2 in adults 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) reported the network's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in three weeks (since July 5) and biggest overall audience in the hour in eight weeks (since May 31). In the time period, "Dateline" ranked #2 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34.

From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew by 27 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.5) and by 26 percent or more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers (to 6.2 million from 4.9 million), while the other major networks declined half-hour to half-hour in both categories. "Dateline" won the 10:30-11 p.m. ET half-hour in adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories.

On Tuesday, July 27 at 8 p.m. ET, "Breakthrough With Tony Robbins" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall.

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall) was #1 in the time period in adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" increased by 38 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.9/9 from a 2.1/7) and by 21 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (to 10.3 million vs. 8.5 million).

For its concluding hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" was a dominant #1 among the major networks in every key ratings category, beating the combined ABC-CBS results in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49, 25-54, total viewers, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. In the 10:30 p.m. lead-in to local news, "America's Got Talent" delivered a 131 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (3.7 vs. 1.6 for ABC's second-place "Primetime" special). "Talent" topped the combined ABC-CBS rating in every category in the 10:30 p.m. half-hour.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime in total viewers and #2 (tied) in adults 18-49.

On Wednesday, July 28 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Minute to Win It" (1.9/7 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in total viewers and #1 in men 18-34 and men 18-49.

From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute to Win It" increased by 24 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1/7 from a 1.7/6) and 22 percent in total viewers (to 6.6 million from 5.4 million). For its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "Minute to Win It" finished within 0.3 of a rating point of first place in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in all key male demos in a time period that included competition from CBS's "Big Brother" and Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "America's Got Talent" won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Talent" took the hour by a margin of 30 percent in adults 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.0 for Fox's second-place "So You Think You Can Dance") and by 57 percent or more than 3.5 million persons in total viewers (9.8 million vs. 6.2 million for CBS's second-place "Criminal Minds" encore).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.4/4 in adults 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among the major networks in adults 18-49 and other key demographics. In adult 18-49 rating, "SVU" has now ranked #1 or tied for #1 in this time period with its last eight consecutive telecasts.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday in adults 25-54 and total viewers and tied for #1 in adults 18-49, with a 2.0 rating from 8-11 p.m. ET versus Fox's 2.0 from 8-10 p.m. In head-to-head competition from 8-10 p.m., NBC topped Fox in adults 18-49 (2.3 vs. 2.0).

On Thursday, July 29 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Community" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall) scored the show's top 18-49 rating in this time period in eight weeks (since June 3). Week-to-week, "Community" was up 25 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.8).

Thursday from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "30 Rock" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period in eight weeks (since June 3). Versus the prior week, "30 Rock" was up 13 percent in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.8).

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office' (1.3/4 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall) tied for #1 among the major networks in men 18-34.

Thursday from 9:31-10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall) posted the show's highest 18-49 rating since June 3 (prior to July 15, "Parks" aired in the 10:30 p.m. half-hour). Week-to-week, "Parks" was up 10 percent in 18-49 rating (1.1 vs. 1.0).

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" captured a 0.9/4 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall.

On Friday, July 30 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) tied for #1 in the time period in adults 18-49 and men 18-34 and was #1 outright among the major networks in men 18-49 and men 25-54. This marks the seventh time in nine weeks that "Lights" has finished #1 or tied for #1 in the time period in adults 18-49.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in its two-hour time period in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was #1 in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by 63 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 0.8) and by 43 percent or more than 1.7 million persons in total viewers (to 5.7 million from 4.0 million).

On Saturday, July 31 at 8 p.m. ET, "Persons Unknown" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 1.6 million viewers overall.

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers overall.

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the major networks in the time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. From its first half-hour to its second, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" increased by 29 percent in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.7) and 16 percent in total viewers (3.8 million vs. 3.3 million).

On Sunday, August 1 from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" increased its 18-49 rating by 17 percent (to a 0.7 from a 0.6).

Sunday from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) locked up its highest 18-49 rating for a Sunday telecast since July 4, when it aired at 10 p.m. From its first half-hour to its second, this week's "Law & Order: CI" increased its 18-49 rating by 25 percent (to a 1.0 from a 0.8) and its overall viewership by 15 percent (4.7 million vs. 4.1 million).

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" delivered a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall. Week-to-week, the Sunday "Talent" rebroadcast was up 9 percent in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.8 million).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, the "America's Got Talent" encore ranked #1 in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories.
