Ratings Report for ABC News' "Nightline" For the Week of July 26, 2010

"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 SEASON TO DATE IN TOTAL VIEWERS

"NIGHTLINE" BESTS "LETTERMAN" 16 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS IN TOTAL VIEWERS - FIRST TIME IN 11 YEARS

FOR THE JULY SWEEP, "NIGHTLINE" POSTS LARGEST TOTAL VIEWING ADVANTAGE OVER "LETTERMAN" IN 11 YEARS

ABC News "Nightline" is in first place for the full season to date with 3.77 million Total Viewers, outperforming CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" and NBC's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, for the sixteenth consecutive week, "Nightline" has outperformed "Letterman" among Total Viewers. The last time this happened was in 1999. For the week of July 26, 2010, "Nightline" ranked second among A25-54, A18-49 and Total Viewers.

For the just completed July sweep, "Nightline's" total viewing (300,000) and A25-54 (90,000) leads expanded over "Letterman" versus the July 2009 sweep. This marks "Nightline's" largest total viewing advantage over "Letterman" for a July sweep since 1999. Additionally, "Nightline" ranked second among A25-54, A18-49 and Total Viewers, marking the third consecutive July sweep "Nightline" beat "Letterman" among both Total Viewers and A25-54.

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Martin Bashir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
