ON MONDAY, 'CHUCK' GROWS WEEK-TO-WEEK IN 18-49 AND ATTRACTS ITS BIGGEST OVERALL VIEWERSHIP SINCE ITS SEASON PREMIERE

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 9, 2010 - Led by "NBC Sunday Night Football," which was the #1 program of the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49 for the ninth straight week, NBC averaged a 2.4 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 7.4 million viewers overall for the week of November 1-7, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. For the week, NBC ranked #3 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers, #2 in adults 18-34 (tied), men 18-49 and men 25-54 and tied for #1 in men 18-34.

NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Green Bay Packers' 45-7 blowout over the Dallas Cowboys ranked #1 among all programs this week in adults 18-49, marking the ninth straight week in which "NBC Sunday Night Football" has topped the weekly rankings in primetime's key demographic. "Sunday Night Football" also ranked #1 among all primetime programs this week in adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demographics - men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. In total viewers, "NBC Sunday Night Football" ranked #2 this week among all primetime programs.

"The Office" ranked #11 (tied) among all primetime programs this week in adults 18-49 and was the #3 program of the week among adults 18-34 (rankings exclude all football pre-game and post-game telecasts).

Primetime averages for the week of November 1-7 in adults 18-49 were CBS (3.1/9), ABC (2.5/7), NBC (2.4/7), Fox (2.2/6) and CW (1.0/3). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (11.7 million), ABC (9.3 million), NBC (7.4 million), Fox (6.7 million) and CW (2.3 million).

Season-to-date through seven weeks, NBC is tied for #3 in adults 18-49, up 4 percent in 18-49 rating versus the first seven weeks of last season (2.8 vs. 2.7). NBC is also tied for #3 season-to-date in adults 25-54, up 5 percent in 25-54 rating versus the first seven weeks last year (3.3 vs. 3.1). NBC is up 5 percent year-to-year in total viewers through the first seven weeks of the season (8.070 million vs. 7.710 million).

NBC highlights for the week of November 1-7

* On Sunday, NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers propelled NBC to a primetime win in nearly all key demographic measures, including adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

* The Friday edition of "Dateline NBC" reported a week-to-week increase of 21 percent or more than 1.0 million persons in total viewers to deliver its biggest overall viewership in four weeks. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 36 percent in 18-49 rating and by 34 percent or more than 1.7 million persons in total viewers

* On Thursday, "The Office" ranked #2 in its slot in adults 18-49 and #1, ahead of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Fringe," in adults 18-34 and in all key adult-male demos. Excluding the prior week's highly rated Halloween episode, this was the top telecast of "The Office" in total viewers since the show's September 23 season premiere.

* So far this season, "The Office" has added an average 31 percent to its 18-49 rating in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day" results, making it the biggest percentage gainer among all half-hour comedies

* Also on Thursday, despite time-period competition that included CBS's "Big Bang Theory," "Community" matched NBC's 18-49 average in the slot last season. In the time period, "Community" " tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults and men 18-34.

* Additionally on Thursday, "30 Rock" built on its lead-in from "Community" by 26 percent in 18-49 rating and total viewers, and was also up 26 percent in 18-49 versus NBC's average in this slot last season. Versus its prior telecast, "30 Rock" was up 9 percent in adults 18-49.

* So far this season, "Community" and "30 Rock" have added an average 27 percent to its 18-49 rating in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day" results, making them tied as the #3 biggest gainers on a percentage basis among half-hour comedies, behind only "The Office" and "Modern Family."

* Thursday's telecast of "Outsourced" matched its highest 18-49 rating in five weeks, equaling the 18-49 rating of the show's Halloween episode one week earlier. In its slot, "Outsourced" was the #1 telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in men 18-34, tied for #1 in men 18-49 and was #2 in adults 18-34 and men 25-54.

* "Outsourced" is the #1 new show of the season in adults 18-34, tied for #14 among all primetime programs in that demographic, with a 3.4 rating (excludes all football pre-game and post-game telecasts).

* So far this season, "Outsourced" is the #1 biggest gainer on a percentage basis going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day" among all first-year half-hour comedies on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW.

* Also, Thursday's telecast of "The Apprentice" delivered its biggest overall audience and matched its highest 18-49 rating in seven weeks. "The Apprentice" was up 6 percent in total viewers versus the prior week and up 13 percent versus two weeks ago.

* On Wednesday, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" was up 22 percent in 18-49 rating and 30 percent or more than 2.4 million persons in total viewers versus NBC's average in its time period last season

* "Law & Order: SVU" grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key ratings categories, posting gains of 32 percent in adults 18-49, 25 percent in adults 25-54, 40 percent in adults 18-34 and 20 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures and was #1 in adults 18-34. "Law & Order; LA" maintained its 18-49 rating and increased in total viewers while competing programming on ABC and CBS declined by both measures.

* On Tuesday, a one-hour Election Night edition of "The Biggest Loser 10" from 8-9 p.m. ET ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and other key measures. From its first half-hour to its second, "Biggest Loser" increased by 13 percent in 18-49 rating, 14 percent in adults 25-54 and 10 percent in total viewers.

* On Monday, "Chuck" was up 5 percent week-to-week in adults 18-49 and attracted its biggest overall audience since its season premiere on September 20.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of November 1-7:

On Monday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET, "Chuck" (2.0 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) grew 5 percent week-to-week in 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.9), to match its season high in 18-49 rating. In total viewers, "Chuck" delivered its biggest overall audience in six weeks, since its season premiere on September 20. "Chuck" was up 11 percent versus its 18-49 average for the May sweep earlier this year (2.0 vs. 1.8).

It's worth noting that so far this season, "Chuck" has added an average 26 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure.

Monday from 9-11 p.m. ET, the special "The Women of SNL" averaged a 2.1/5 in adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall in a slot that included tough competition from Fox's coverage of the deciding game of the World Series, ESPN's Texans-Colts NFL football, ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" and "Castle" and CBS's "Two and a Half Men," "Mike & Molly" and "Hawaii Five-0." "The Women of SNL" generated a 31 percent increase in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period last season (2.1 vs. 1.6).

On Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 8-9 p.m. ET, a one-hour Election Night edition of "The Biggest Loser 10" averaged a 2.4/7 in adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall. "Biggest Loser" ranked #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and other key measures.

From its first half-hour to its second, "Biggest Loser" increased by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.6 from a 2.3), 14 percent in adults 25-54 (to a 3.2 from a 2.8) and 10 percent in total viewers (to 6.9 million from 6.2 million).

On Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, NBC News' "Decision '10" primetime coverage of the 2010 mid-term election averaged a 1.8/5 in adults 18-49, a 2.4/6 in adults 25-54 and 6.4 million viewers overall in primetime.

On Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Undercovers" averaged a 1.3/4 in 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall.

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second in every key ratings category, including gains of 32 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 1.9), 25 percent in adults 25-54 (to a 3.0 from a 2.5), 40 percent in adults 18-34 (to a 2.1 from a 1.5) and 20 percent in total viewers (to 8.9 million from 7.4 million).

Versus NBC's time-period averages in this slot last season, "Law & Order; SVU" was up 22 percent in 18-49 rating (2.2 vs. 1.8) and 30 percent or more than 1.8 million persons in total viewers (8.137 million vs. 6.278 million).

So far this season, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" added an average 27 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. In total viewers, "SVU Event" has added an average 18 percent or more than 1.6 million persons in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day."

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers and was #1 in adults 18-34.

From its first half-hour to its second, "Law & Order: LA" maintained its 18-49 rating and increased in total viewers while competing programming on ABC and CBS declined by both measures.

So far this season, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" added an average 20 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure

On Thursday, Nov. 4 from 8-8:30 p.m. ET, "Community" averaged a 1.9/6 in 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers overall. Despite time-period competition that included CBS's "Big Bang Theory," "Community" matched NBC's 18-49 average in the slot during the traditional 2009-10 season (1.9, non-sports, "live plus same day"). In the time period, "Community" tied for the #2 rating among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults and men 18-34. .

So far this season, "Community" has added an average 27 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure, making it the #3 biggest gainer on a percentage basis among half-hour comedies, tied with "30 Rock," and behind only "The Office" and "Modern Family."

Thursday from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) grew versus its prior telecast by 9 percent in 18-49 rating (2.4 vs. 2.2) and 2 percent in total viewers (5.311 million vs. 5.182 million). "30 Rock" built on its lead-in by 26 percent in 18-49 rating and 15 percent in total viewers. "30 Rock" was also up 26 percent in adults 18-49 versus NBC's slot average during the traditional 2009-10 season (1.9, non-sports, "live plus same day").

In the time period, "30 Rock" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults, men and women 18-34.

So far this season, "30 Rock" has added an average 27 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure, making it the #3 biggest gainer on a percentage basis among half-hour comedies, tied with "Community," and behind only "The Office" and "Modern Family."

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (3.8/10 in adults 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in its time period in adults 18-49 and #1, ahead of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Fringe" in adults 18-34 and in all key adult-male demos - men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. Excluding the prior week's highly rated Halloween episode, this was the top telecast of "The Office" in total viewers since the show's September 23 season premiere.

Versus its average for the May sweep, "The Office" was up 9 percent in 18-49 rating (3.8 vs. 3.5) and 13 percent in total viewers (7.652 million vs. 6.771 million).

So far this season, "The Office" has added an average 31 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. On a percentage basis, "The Office" is the #1 biggest gainer from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven" among all half-hour comedies on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

Thursday from 9:31-10 p.m. ET, "Outsourced" (2.7/7 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) matched its highest 18-49 rating in five weeks (since September 30), equaling the 18-49 rating of the show's Halloween episode one week earlier. In the time period, "Outsourced" was the #1 telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in men 18-34, tied for #1 in men 18-49 and was #2 in adults 18-34 and men 25-54.

So far this season, "Outsourced" has added an average 21 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. On a percentage basis, "Outsourced" is the #1 biggest gainer going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven" among all first-year half-hour comedies on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "The Apprentice" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall) matched its highest 18-49 rating in seven weeks (since its September 16 season premiere) and delivered it biggest overall audience since that same date. "The Apprentice" was up 6 percent in total viewers versus the prior week (4.038 million vs. 3.793 million) and up 13 percent versus two weeks ago (4.038 million vs. 3.581 million).

So far this season, "The Apprentice" has added an average 30 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. On a percentage basis, "The Apprentice" is the #1 biggest gainer going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven" among all unscripted shows on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW.

On Friday, Oct. 22 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "School Pride" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall) reported a week-to-week increase of 21 percent or more than 1.0 million persons in total viewers (6.031 million vs. 4.969 million) to achieve its biggest overall viewership in four weeks (since October 8).

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 36 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.1) and by 34 percent or more than 1.7 million persons in total viewers (to 6.8 million from 5.1 million).

On Saturday, Oct. 30 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Outlaw" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall.

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast "Law & Order: Los Angeles" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) grew from half-hour to half-hour by 29 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.7) and by 15 percent in total viewers (to 4.7 million from 4.1 million). "Law & Order: LA" delivered its biggest overall audience in this time period so far this season among five encore telecasts.

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 38 percent in 18-49 rating and 24 percent in total viewers. "SVU" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 20 percent in adult 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.0) and 13 percent in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 5.1 million). "Law & Order; SVU" locked up its biggest overall audience in this time period since October 2.

On Sunday Oct. 31, the "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers fueled a primetime win in nearly all key demographic measures. NBC ranked #1 Sunday night in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and in all key adult male demos - men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. NBC also ranked #1 among women 18-34 and tied for #1 in women 18-49. For its full duration, the Cowboys-Packers NFL game averaged a 7.4/18 in adults 18-49, 19.4 million viewers overall and an 11.6/19 household rating/share from 8:31-11:17 p.m. ET.

Also on Sunday, "Football Night in America 2" from 7:30-7:55 p.m. ET averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall and a 2.1/3 household rating/share. "Football Night in America 3" from 7:55-8:22 p.m. delivered a 3.4/9 in 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall and a 5.8/9 in households. From 8:22-8:31 p.m., "NBC Sunday Night Football Pre Kickoff" averaged a 5.8/15 in 18-49, 16.0 million viewers overall and a 9.4/15 in households. Note: "Football Night in America" from 7-7:30 p.m. ET was sustaining programming and does not figure in the nightly or weekly primetime averages.
