ESPN's "Monday Night Football" Wins the Night among All Key Male and Adult Demos

Last night, ESPN's Monday Night Football - a record-setting 59-28 Philadelphia Eagles road victory over the Washington Redskins - earned a 10.8 household coverage rating (9.3 US rating), representing an average of 10,816,000 households (15,032,000 viewers - P2+), according to Nielsen.

MNF led all programs (broadcast or cable) in all key male and adult demos, helping ESPN win the night among all networks in those same categories.

In the game, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick accounted for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) and more than 400 yards of total offense as Philadelphia scored a MNF-record 59 points against its longtime NFC East rival.

Through the first 10 weeks (11 games), ESPN's MNF is averaging a 10.6 household rating, 10,629,000 households (14,700,000 viewers), slight increases in all measurements versus 2009. ESPN MNF games rank as the 11 biggest audiences among households and the nine biggest among total viewers for cable television in 2010 (including the 2009 MNF season finale - Minnesota vs. Chicago, 12/28/09 - which falls within the Nielsen 2010 calendar). The Eagles-Redskins game ranks as cable's sixth most-viewed program of the year among viewers and seventh most-viewed among households.

ESPN.com had 214 million page views (a 17 percent increase) and 284 million minutes (a 32 percent gain) generated with NFL content on Sunday and Monday. ESPN's Mobile web site had 48 million page views (a 20 percent increase) and more than 110 million minutes (up 79 percent), spent with NFL content on the ESPN mobile web site and ScoreCenter App.

NEXT WEEK ON MNF

ESPN's MNF continues next week (Nov. 22) with Phillips Rivers and the San Diego Chargers hosting the Denver Broncos at 8:30 p.m. ET. ESPN's game around the game coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. with NFL Live and continues throughout the afternoon.
