Discovery Channel and TLC Rule Friday Prime

(Silver Spring, Md.) Fueled by the debut of FLYING WILD ALASKA and return of newest hit, GOLD RUSH: ALASKA, Discovery Channel ranked #1 among all ad-supported cable in prime on Fri, Jan 14, in P/M 25-54,18-49, 18-34 delivery, besting ABC in M25-54/18-49 and CBS among M18-49.
GOLD RUSH: ALASKA (10 p.m. ET/PT) was the #1 program in all of TV in M 25-54/18-49 delivery, garnering 3.54M P2+ and 2.37 HH rating. FLYING WILD ALASKA (9 p.m. ET/PT) is Discovery's highest rated new series premiere ever in HH's and P18+, delivering 2.58M P2+ and garnering a 1.74 HH rating. Both programs have posted triple-digit gains in key demos vs. its respective year ago time periods.
TLC also ranked #1 among all ad-supported cable on Fri in key Women demos (25-54, 18-49, 18-34), driven by SAY YES TO THE DRESS (9 and 9:30 p.m. ET/PT) averaging 1.9M P2+ and 648k W25-54, and FOUR WEDDINGS garnering 1.5M P2+ and 519k W18-49.
SAY YES TO THE DRESS season 6 and FOUR WEDDINGS season 3 are posting double-digit gains in key demos vs. its respective prior seasons.
