SYFY'S "FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES" SETS SERIES RATINGS RECORDS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE WEEK

MOST WATCHED EPISODE EVER GENERATES 1.32 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS

New York - April 7, 2011 - Syfy's Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files established new series viewership records for the third consecutive week in a row, averaging 1.32 million total viewers during episode three on Wednesday, April 6, at 10PM (ET/PT).

Compared to week two, Fact or Faked rose 17% in Adults18-49 (788,000) and 8% in Adults 25-54 (780,000), marking two straight weeks of growth in these demos since the season two premiere on March 23.

Fact or Faked boosted Syfy to #4 in prime for Adults 25-54 and #7 for Adults 18-49 among entertainment cable networks.

Fact or Faked's second season success follows the smash debuts of Being Human and Face Off, both of which have been renewed for sophomore seasons.

Led by these popular series, Syfy jumped 16 percent among Adults 18-34 and 12 percent among total viewers during First Quarter '11.

The Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files team includes former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, journalist Jael de Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu, stunt expert Austin Porter and newest member tech expert Devin Marble. Together, they review web video claiming to depict paranormal and unexplainable phenomena including ghosts, poltergeist activity, UFOs, strange creature sightings, and unknown energy anomalies. After agreeing on which cases warrant further exploration, they take to the field, employing their expertise in full investigations and recreations to dispel the hoaxes from the real and possibly paranormal.

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is executive produced by John Brenkus and Mickey Stern for BASE Productions, and is a co-production with Universal Networks International.
