Syfy's "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" Sets Series Ratings Records for Fourth Consecutive Week

SYFY'S "FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES" SETS SERIES RATINGS RECORDS FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

MOST WATCHED EPISODE EVER GENERATES 1.4 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS

NEW YORK - April 14, 2011 - Syfy's Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files established new series viewership records for the fourth consecutive week, averaging 1.4 million total viewers during episode four on Wednesday, April 13, at 10PM (ET/PT).

Compared to week three, Fact or Faked rose 6% in total viewers, marking the fourth consecutive week that the show has delivered a series high in total viewers. It also rose 7% in Adults 25-54 (831,000) from week three, setting a series high in that demo for the second week in a row.

Bolstered by the successful performance of Fact or Faked, Syfy was the #5 ranked entertainment cable network in prime among Adults 25-54 and #9 among Adults 18-49.

The Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files team includes former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, journalist Jael de Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu, stunt expert Austin Porter and newest member tech expert Devin Marble. Together, they review web video claiming to depict paranormal and unexplainable phenomena including ghosts, poltergeist activity, UFOs, strange creature sightings, and unknown energy anomalies. After agreeing on which cases warrant further exploration, they take to the field, employing their expertise in full investigations and recreations to dispel the hoaxes from the real and possibly paranormal.

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is executive produced by John Brenkus and Mickey Stern for BASE Productions, and is a co-production with Universal Networks International.
