NBC SPORTS' TELECAST OF THE SERIES CLINCHING GAME 7 OF THE BRUINS-CANUCKS STANLEY CUP FINAL IS THE MOST-WATCHED NHL TELECAST IN 38 YEARS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 21, 2011 - Led by "The Voice" and "America's Got Talent," which were the top two shows of the week in all key measures, and a Stanley Cup Final Game 7 that was the most-watched NHL telecast in 38 years, NBC won the primetime week of June 13-19 in adults 18-49 and total viewers, averaging a 2.0 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC also ranked #1 this week in adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all other key demographic measures (including a tie in women 18-34). This marks NBC's first weekly primetime win in adults 18-49 since the week of January 3-9 and first #1 finish in total viewers since the week of December 27-January 2. NBC won four nights this week in adults 18-49 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

NBC programmed the top three shows of the week, and five of the top 10 programs, in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49. "The Voice" was the #1 program of the week in adults 18-49 for the first time. "The Voice also ranked #1 among all programs this week in numerous other key ratings categories, including adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demographics - women 18-34, women 18-49 and women 25-54. "The Voice" was also the #1 show of the week among teens 12-17.

"America's Got Talent" ranked #2 among all programs in adults 18-49. Wednesday's telecast of Game 7 of the NHL's Stanley Cup Final ranked #3, NBC's Sunday telecast of "Miss USA 2011" ranked #6 (tied) and Monday's telecast of the Stanley Cup Final Game 6 ranked #9 (tied).

In total viewers this week, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the week, averaging 12.6 million viewers. "The Voice" (12.3 million) ranked #2 and Wednesday's Stanley Cup Final Game 7, with 8.5 million viewers, was #4. Also among the top 20 programs of the week in total viewers was "Miss USA 2011" (7.4 million, #11) and Friday's "Dateline NBC" (6.5 million, #17).

Primetime averages for the week of June 13-19 in adults 18-49 were NBC (2.0/7), Fox (1.5/5), ABC (1.2/4), CBS (1.1/3) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were NBC (6.3 million), CBS (6.1 million), ABC and Fox (4.1 million) and CW (0.9 million).

NBC highlights for the week of June 13-19:

* NBC skated to a #2 finish among all broadcast and cable networks Monday night in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54 and a first-place finish in all key adult-male demographics, fueled by NBC Sports' coverage of the Vancouver Canucks- Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Final Game 6.

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" won the 8-9 p.m. ET time period against all broadcast and cable competition in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and all other key demographics.

* "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program on television Tuesday night in total viewers.

* From its first half-hour to its second, "America's Got Talent" grew by 16 percent in adults 18-49 and by 15 percent or more than 1.8 million persons in total viewers

* Also on Tuesday, "The Voice," was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49, winning its time period in all key ratings categories against all broadcast and cable competition.

* The 4.6 rating in adults 18-49 achieved by "The Voice" on Tuesday was higher than the 18-49 rating of every non-sports telecast to air last summer on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, with the sole exception of the "Glee" finale, which delivered a 4.7 rating on June 8, 2010.

* Together "Talent" and "The Voice" propelled NBC to a #1 finish in primetime Tuesday in all key measures, including adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

* On Wednesday, NBC Sports' coverage of the deciding Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, with 8.5 million viewers overall, was the most-watched NHL telecast in 38 years (since 1973). It was the most-watched Stanley Cup Game 7 in 40 years (since 1971).

* NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday night versus all broadcast and cable competition in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 adults 25-54, total viewers and all key adult-male demographics.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" was the #1 program of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demographics, reporting its highest 18-49 rating since May 6 and its biggest overall viewership for a Friday edition since March 25.

* NBC ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW Friday night in virtually all key demos, including adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

* On Sunday, "Miss USA 2011" matched the pageant's highest 18-49 rating in six years and attracted its biggest overall viewership in five years. "Miss USA" was up 57 percent in adults 18-49 and 41 percent in total viewers versus the year-ago telecast, which ran from 7-9 p.m. ET on May 16, 2010.

* "Miss USA 2011" was the #1 program of the night on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories (excluding NBC's U.S. Open golf overrun). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Miss USA" increased by 32 percent in adults 18-49 and grew by 31 percent or 2.0 million persons in total viewers. For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Miss USA" out-rated the ABC-CBS competition combined in all key ratings categories.

* NBC ranked #1 among the broadcast networks Sunday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of June 13-19

On Monday, June 13 from 8-11:12 p.m. ET, NBC Sports coverage of the Vancouver Canucks-Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Final Game 6 averaged a 2.0 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall. NBC ranked #2 among all broadcast and cable networks in primetime in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54 and #1 in all key adult-male demographics - men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54.

On Tuesday, June 14 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.5/11 in 18-49, 12.6 million viewers overall) won its time period against all broadcast and cable competition in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and all other key demographics. "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the night in total viewers.

From its first half-hour to its second, "America's Got Talent" grew by 16 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.7 from a 3.2) and by 15 percent or more than 1.8 million persons in total viewers (13.5 million vs. 11.7 million).

Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "America's Got Talent" was up 133 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 3.5 rating vs. a 1.5, "live plus same day," non-sports) and up 142 percent in total viewers (12.590 million vs. 5.198 million).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "The Voice" averaged a 4.6/13 in adults 18-49 and 12.3 million viewers overall. This 4.6 rating achieved by "The Voice" is higher than the 18-49 rating of every non-sports telecast to air last summer on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW, with the sole exception of the "Glee" finale, which delivered a 4.7 rating on June 8, 2010.

"The Voice" was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49, winning its time period in all key ratings categories against all broadcast and cable competition. Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "The Voice" was up 53 percent in 18-49 rating (4.6 vs. 3.0, "live plus same day," non-sports).

Together "Talent" and "The Voice" propelled NBC to a #1 finish in primetime in all key ratings categories, including adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

On Wednesday, June 15, NBC Sports' coverage of Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, which saw the Boston Bruins defeat the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 to claim their first championship since 1972, averaged a 3.4/11 in adults 18-49 and 8.5 million viewers from 8-11:06 p.m. ET.

NBC ranked #1 in primetime Wednesday night versus all broadcast and cable competition in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and all key adult-male demographics.

This marks the most-watched NHL game in total viewers in 38 years (since May 10, 1973, Montreal-Chicago, 9.4 million on NBC). It was up 3 percent in total viewers versus last year's deciding overtime thriller Game 6 (8.3 million viewers overall for Chicago-Philadelphia on June 9, 2010) and up 7 percent versus the 2009 Stanley Cup Game 7 (8.0 million viewers overall for Pittsburgh-Detroit on June 12, 2009).

The 2011 Game 7 telecast is the most-watched Stanley Cup Game 7 in 40 years (since May 18, 1971, Montreal-Chicago, 12.4 million on CBS).

On Thursday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) was up versus the prior week's rebroadcast by 20 percent in 18-49 rating (0.6 vs. 0.5) and 12 percent in total viewers (2.233 million vs. 1.994 million). From 8:30-9 p.m., an encore telecast of "30 Rock" (0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall) was up week-to-week by 7 percent in total viewers (2.014 million vs. 1.888 million).

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "The Office" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall) grew versus the prior week by 10 percent in 18-49 rating (1.1 vs. 1.0) and 24 percent in total viewers (2.816 million vs. 2.265 million). "The Office" built on its lead-in by 83 percent in 18-49 rating and 40 percent in total viewers.

From 9:31-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Parks and Recreation" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall) increased versus the prior week by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.9) and 36 percent in total viewers (2.633 million vs. 1.939 million). "Parks" retained 90 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from "The Office."

Thursday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Love Bites" (1.0/3 in adults 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall) matched its 18-49 rating of the prior week.

On Friday, June 17 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) was up versus its most recent telecast on June 3 by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.8) and 6 percent in total viewers (3.073 million vs. 2.912 million). "Friday Night Lights" matched its season-high rating in adults 18-49.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall) was the #1 program of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demographics. It won its two-hour time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and most other key demographics.

"Dateline" reported its highest 18-49 rating since May 6 and its biggest overall viewership for a Friday edition since March 25.

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 82 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 2.0 rating from a 1.1), 87 percent in adults 25-54 (2.8 vs. 1.5) and 56 percent or more than 2.8 million persons in total viewers (7.8 million vs. 5.0 million). For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Dateline" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings category, matching ABC and CBS combined in adults 18-49.

NBC ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW Friday night in virtually all key demos, including adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

On Saturday, June 18 from 8:02-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Minute To Win It" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall. From 9-10 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall, increasing from its first half-hour to its second by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.6 from a 0.4) and 28 percent in total viewers (2.930 million vs. 2.287 million).

From 10-11 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: LA" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall. "Law & Order: LA" increased from its first half-hour to its second by 40 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.7 from a 0.5) and 25 percent in adults 25-54 (1.0 vs. 0.8).

On Sunday, June 19, the primetime portion of NBC Sports' coverage of U.S. Open Championship Golf averaged a 2.3/10 in adults 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall and a 5.9/13 household rating/share from 7-7:47 p.m. ET. From 7:47-8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Minute To Win It," which was joined in progress, averaged a 0.8/3 in adults 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall.

From 7-8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) earned NBC's top 18-49 rating in the hour since May 22 and biggest overall audience since May 8. "Talent" increased from its first half-hour to its second by 30 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.0) and 19 percent in total viewers (5.173 million vs. 4.361 million). "Talent" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the hour in adults 18-49 and was #1 in adults 25-54.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Miss USA 2011" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) matched the event's highest 18-49 rating in six years (since 2005) and attracted its biggest overall viewership in five years (since 2006). Versus last year, "Miss USA" jumped 57 percent in 18-49 rating (2.2 vs. a 1.4 from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2010) and increased 41 percent in total viewers (7.422 million vs. 5.276 million).

"Miss USA 2011" was the #1 program of the night on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories (excluding NBC's U.S. Open golf overrun). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Miss USA" increased by 32 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 1.9) and grew by 31 percent or 2.0 million persons in total viewers (8.4 million vs. 6.4 million). For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Miss USA" out-rated the ABC-CBS competition combined in all key ratings categories.
