Original Comedy Series "Jessie" Ranks as Disney Channel's Most-Watched Friday Premiere in 3 Years

Drives "Phineas and Ferb" to Series High in Tweens 9-14 and "Fish Hooks" to its No. 3 Telecast on Record in the Target Demos

Disney Channel's original comedy series "Jessie" launched as the network's most-watched Friday series premiere in three years in Total Viewers (4.6 million), Kids 6-11 (2.3 million/9.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.8 million/7.6 rating) - since "The Suite Life on Deck" set sail in September 2008 - ranking as TV's No. 1 telecast at 9 o'clock in the target kid demographics. "Jessie" also delivered an impressive 887,000 Adults 18-49, further augmenting Disney Channel's kid-driven, family inclusive strategy.

In Tweens 9-14, "Jessie" powered lead-out "Phineas and Ferb" to its No. 1 telecast of all time (1.6 million/6.6 rating), while "Fish Hooks" netted its No. 3 telecast ever (1.3 million/5.3 rating) in the target demo.

"Jessie" leverages the strong track records of the creative talent in front of and behind the camera. It was created and is executive-produced by Pam Eels (Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," "The Suite Life on Deck") and stars hugely popular Debby Ryan ("The Suite Life on Deck") as the title character who moves to New York City and becomes a nanny for a high-profile couple with four kids. Also starring are Tony Award-nominated Kevin Chamberlin ("The Addams Family"), Peyton List ("Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules"), Karan Brar ("Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules"), Cameron Boyce ("Grown Ups") and Skai Jackson ("Royal Pains").

Disney Channel is a 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network that taps into the world of kids and families through original series and movies. Currently available on basic cable in over 99 million U.S. homes and to millions of other viewers on Disney Channels around the world, Disney Channel is part of the Disney/ABC Television Group.
