TeenNick HALO Awards Draws 1.7 Million Viewers, Wins Sunday Night Timeslot

NEW YORK - Nov. 8, 2011 - Nickelodeon closed the week (10/31/11-11/6/11) as the number one total day cable net with total viewers (1.8 million) and kids 2-11 (2.8/978,000).

The 3rd annual TeenNick HALO Awards premiered its first-ever live event on Nick at Nite this weekend (Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT), drawing 1.7 million total viewers and ranking as basic cable's top telecast in its Sunday night time period.

The 90-minute HALO Awards special, which was hosted by Nick Cannon and honors teens committed to service, featured Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Taylor Swift and Jessica Biel along with appearances by Heidi Klum, Stephen Moyer, Serena Williams, Victoria Justice, Ariel Winter and musical performances by Mary J. Blige and Jason Derulo, posted double-digit increases over prior 4 week time period with kids 2-11 (+18%), kids 6-11 (+25%), tweens 9-14 (+19%), teens 12-17 (+40%) and total viewers (+13%).
