Attracting its Largest Audience in 2 Years, the Net Grows Year to Year at 10pm

Based on all programming, ABC (9.8 million) finished the 2011 November Sweep as the 2nd-most-watched network overall, outdrawing a "World Series"- boosted Fox by 9% (9.0 million) and an NFL-inflated NBC by 36% (7.2 million). In addition, ABC ranked No. 1 during November for the 6th straight year with Women 18-49 (3.5/9). Excluding sports to level the playing field, ABC paced within 1-tenth of a rating point of tying CBS for No. 1 during the month in Adults 18-49 (2.8/8 vs. 2.9/8) and was the clear leader across all key Women demos.

· Highest-Rated TV Series: ABC claimed 3 of the Top 10 TV series during November 2011 in Adults 18-49, including the No. 1 scripted show ("Modern Family"), the No. 1 drama ("Grey's Anatomy") and the No. 1 new drama ("Once Upon a Time"): "Modern Family" - No. 2, "Grey's Anatomy" - No. 6 and "Once Upon a Time" - No. 9. ABC's "DWTS" stood as the 2nd-most-watched entertainment show overall for the month and the No. 1 unscripted series. In addition, ABC aired 3 of the Top 4 TV shows for the sweep with Women 18-49, with "Modern Family" (No. 1), "Grey's" (No. 2) and "Once Upon a Time" (No. 4).

· Growing Wednesday Night Comedy Block: For the 2nd straight November, ABC's Wednesday 8:00-10:00 p.m. comedy block was up by double-digit percentages with Adults 18-49 (+12%).

· ABC Posts Gains Over Last November with Returning and New Series: A number of ABC's returning programs posted gains over last November with Adults 18-49: "The Middle" (+7%), "Modern Family" (+17%), "Saturday Night Football" (+47%) and "America's Funniest Home Videos" (+6%). The Net's key new series improved their time slots by wide margins for ABC November to November in the key young adult sales demo: "Last Man Standing" (+50%), "Suburgatory" (+25%), "Revenge" (+75%) and "Once Upon a Time" (+73%). In addition, ABC sophomores "Body of Proof" and "Happy Endings," both of which came in midseason, improved their time periods by 18% and 10%, respectively.

· ABC is Up in the 10 O'clock Hour: On Monday-Friday from 10:00-11:00 p.m. as a lead-in to affiliates' late-local news, ABC grew year to year during the November Sweep by 5% in Total Viewers, attracting its largest audience in the hour in 2 years - since 2009.
