NBC LATE-NIGHT RATINGS RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF NOV. 14-18 AND THE NOVEMBER SWEEP

SEASON TO DATE, JAY AND JIMMY INCREASE THEIR TOTAL-VIEWER MARGINS VS. LAST YEAR

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - December 2, 2011 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" have delivered #1 November sweep finishes versus all cable and broadcast competition in their time periods in total viewers. For the month, "Tonight" averaged a 0.8 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall and "Late Night" earned a 0.6/3 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall.

"Tonight's " 3.7 million viewers overall for the sweep topped the 3.5 million for CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and also out-delivered ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon's 1.8 million outscored the 1.7 million for CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and Jimmy also delivered a bigger audience than ABC's "Kimmel" during their head-to-head half-hour. Jimmy Fallon's 7 percent margin over "Late Late Show" in total viewers (1.783 million vs. 1.670 million) reverses the order from November 2010, when "Late Late Show" led by a 1 percent edge.

The November sweep concluded during the week of November 21-25, with "Tonight" averaging a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall. The 3.615 million for the week is "Tonight's" biggest overall audience in four weeks (since the week of October 24-28). In adults 18-34, "Tonight" out-delivered "Late Show" and ABC's combo of "Nightline" and "Kimmel" for the week. "Tonight" also topped "Late Show" in total viewers and other key ratings categories. At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night" averaged a 0.5/3 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers for the week, out-delivering "Late Late Show" in viewers 18-34, viewers 25-54 and total viewers.

Through the first 10 weeks of the season, "Tonight" has increased its total-viewer margin over "Late Show" to 9 percent (3.654 million vs. 3.366 million), up from the year-ago season-to-date advantage of 4 percent. Jimmy Fallon has established a total-viewer lead over "Late Late Show" this season of 11 percent (1.756 million vs. 1.577 million), after trailing by 4 percent one year ago. Jimmy has also increased his season-to-date lead over "Late Late Show" in adults 18-34, to 36 percent (296,000 vs. 218,000) up from last year's 24 percent, and in adults 25-54, up to 4 percent (860,000 vs. 825,000) after trailing by 0.5 percent at this point last season.
