Turner Weekly Ratings - TNT Claims Basic Cable's Top 3 Scripted Originals for the Week as Network Wins Three Nights

Cartooon Network

Cartoon Network earned across-the-board growth among all kid demos - between 3% and 24%--in Total Day and Early Evening Prime (7-9 p.m.) over the third week of June 2012. Once again television's #1 network for early prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, average Total Day delivery grew among kids 6-11 (up 7%, 512,000), kids 2-11 (up 8%, 732,000) and kids 9-14 (up 24%, 423,000). Early Evening also grew among kids 6-11 (up 3%, 719,000), kids 2-11 (up 4%, 968,000) and kids 9-14 (up 11%, 580,000).

Cartoon Network ranked as the #1 television network (broadcast & cable) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday night (7-9 p.m.) among boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 - and #1 among kids 2-11 & 9-14 on Monday Night (7-9 p.m.). Versus the same time period last year, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights posted solid double-digit delivery gains among all kid demos (2-11, 6-11, 9-14), ranging between 12% and 34%.

Among its original animated comedy series, Regular Show (Monday, 8 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 2-11 & 9-14, the #1 telecast of the day among all boys, and #1 in its time period among all kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Monday's companion original series Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.) and Annoying Orange (8:30 p.m.) also ranked #1 in their time periods among all kids and boys. Tuesday night's presentation of Total Drama: Revenge of the Island (7:30 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the day among all boys, while original series Level Up (8 p.m.) and Adventure Time (8:30 p.m.) both were #1 in their time periods among all boys.

The Saturday night FLIX presentation (7-9 p.m.) of The Fantastic Mr. Fox ranked #1 in its time period among all boys, and boosted Cartoon Network overall to the #1 network for boys on all television for the night.

NBA TV

NBA TV's critically acclaimed premiere of The Dream Team presented by Right Guard averaged 847,000 total viewers to become the network's most-viewed telecast of all-time. NBA TV's original production of the documentary continued the network's record-setting 2011-12 NBA season which also has included:

NBA TV's most-viewed regular season ever with an average of 335,000 total viewers (up 32 percent vs. last season) over the network's 96-game schedule.

The most-viewed regular-season game in NBA TV history - on January 14, the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Clippers averaged 756,000 total viewers to become the network's most-viewed regular-season telecast.

The network's highest-rated NBA Playoff telecast - Boston vs. Atlanta, Game 2, with a 0.6 U.S. HH rating.

Growth across all key demos - NBA TV averages the youngest median age (35.4) of any sports network. During the 2011-12 NBA season, the network's key demos were all up double digits including a 43 percent increase among Adults 18-34 and a 39 percent improvement among Men 18-34.

Double-digit increases in prime-time viewing - NBA TV has averaged 150,000 total viewers in prime time, up 22 percent compared broadcast calendar year to date.

TNT

TNT claimed basic cable's Top 3 scripted originals for the week, with Dallas, Falling Skies and Rizzoli & Isles leading the pack among total viewers and adults 25-54.

Propelled by the strength of its hit summer series, TNT ranked as basic cable's #1 network in primetime three nights last week. TNT took the top spot on Tuesday, which included new episodes of Rizzoli & Isles and Franklin & Bash; Wednesday, which featured the launch of Dallas, the #1 scripted series premiere for the year-to-date; and Sunday, which included the two-hour season premiere of Falling Skies. TNT was also strong among key adult demos, winning Wednesday and Sunday primetime with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

On Tuesday, Rizzoli & Isles drew more than 5.1 million viewers in Live + Same Day, growing to 6.8 million viewers in Live + 3. The blockbuster series also scored 1.2 million adults 18-49 in Live + Same Day (1.9 million L+3) and 1.7 million adults 25-54 (2.5 million L+3). It was followed by a new episode of the light-hearted legal drama Franklin & Bash, which brought in 2.9 million viewers in Live + Same Day, growing to more than 4 million in Live + 3. Among key adult demos, Franklin & Bash averaged 865,000 adults 18-49 (1.6 million L+3) and 1.1 million adults 25-54 (1.8 million L+3).

Wednesday night's premiere of TNT's new series Dallas burst out of the gate with 6.9 million viewers in Live + Same Day, a figure that has already ballooned to 7.8 million viewers in Live + 3. The two-hour launch, which currently ranks as basic cable's most-watched scripted series premiere for the year-to-date, also garnered 1.9 million adults 18-49 in Live + Same Day (2.4 million L+3) and 2.5 million adults 25-54 (3.0 million L+3).

Sunday night, the second season of Falling Skies got off to a strong start, wrangling 4.5 million viewers in Live + Same Day. Among key demos, the two-hour premiere averaged 1.9 million adults 18-49 and 2.2 million adults 25-54.

TNT also enjoyed strength from the network television premiere of Sherlock Holmes, which drew 2.3 million viewers Saturday at 8 p.m.; 1.9 million viewers Saturday at 10:30 p.m.; and 2.3 million viewers on Sunday. The three telecasts accounted for basic cable's Top 3 movie presentations for the week among adults 25-54.

On the sports front, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s win at the Quicken Loans 400 capped the second race in the TNT NASCAR Summer Series six-race schedule, delivering a 3.2 U.S. household rating (+10% vs. 2011). The race was cable's most-watched and highest-rated program of the day (June 17), with a total of 5.3 million viewers and 3.7 million households. Through the first two races in the 2012 TNT NASCAR Summer Series, the network is averaging a 3.3 U.S. household rating (+6% vs. 2011).

Adult Swim

Adult Swim ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of young adults 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24, as well as men 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24. In Prime Time (8-11 p.m.), Adult Swim also ranked #2 (behind USA) among basic cable networks for delivery of adults 18-34. Total Day overall delivery grew among adults 18-34 by 6%, adults 18-24 by 7%, men 18-34 by 3% and men 18-24 by 11%.

Among Adult Swim original programming:

· Metalocalypse (Sunday, 12:15 a.m.) increased delivery of adults 18-34 (377,000) by 41%, adults 18-24 (156,000) by 26% and adults 18-49 (490,000) by 1%.

· The Eric Andre Show (Sunday, 12:30 a.m.) increased delivery of adults 18-34 (299,000) by 15% and men 18-34 (200,000) by 11%.

· Eagleheart (Thursday, 12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among adults 18-24.

· Deadman Wonderland (Saturday, 12:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in it is timeslot among adults 18-24 and men 18-34 & 18-24, increasing deliveries between 8% and 24%.

· Casshern Sins (Saturday, 1 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among adults 18-24 and men 18-24.

Overall, Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, Robot Chicken, American Dad and Squidbillies - accounted for more than half (27) of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34, and 38 of the top 50 telecasts of the week among adults 18-24, both more than any other network.

TBS

The Big Bang Theory continued its winning ways, giving TBS nine of basic cable's Top 10 sitcom telecasts for the week among total viewers, eight of the Top 10 with adults 18-34 and all ten of the Top 10 with adults 18-49.

On Thursday, a new episode of TBS's original sitcom Men at Work drew 1.7 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery, growing to 2.1 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery. The episode also averaged 1.1 million adults 18-49 in Live + Same Day (1.4 million L+3) and ranked among basic cable's Top 10 sitcom telecasts for the week with adults 18-34 (560,000 L+SD; 698,000 L+3).

CONAN invaded Chicago for a week of shows coinciding with the 2012 TBS Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. The hit late-night series averaged more than 1 million viewers in Live + Same Day (+4% vs. prior week); 318,000 adults 18-34 (+18%) and 643,000 adults 18-49 (+6%). The week saw significant growth compared to the same week last year, with total viewers up +26% and adults 18-49 up +17%. For the month, CONAN is up +25% among total viewers and +16% among adults 18-49 compared to June 2011.

truTV

truTV enjoyed another strong week as the network ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 10 networks in primetime delivery of adults 18-49 and men 18-49. truTV also chalked up solid growth in both demos compared to the same week last year, with adults 18-49 up +9% and men 18-49 up +8%.

truTV's hit series Lizard Lick Towing returned Monday night with an outstanding 2.7 million viewers, along with 1.5 million adults 18-49, the show's biggest demo delivery ever. Lizard Lick Towing also ranked among basic cable's Top 5 programs in the 10 p.m. half hour with total viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49.

Hardcore Pawn (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) snared more than 2 million viewers and ranked among the Top 5 ad-supported programs in its timeslot with key male demos.

Storage Hunters (Sunday at 10 p.m.) brought more than 1.6 million viewers to its new Sunday berth. The series also ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot with adults 18-49 and key male demos, with triple-digit time-period growth.

Operation Repo (Wednesday at 10 p.m.) scored a solid 1.6 million viewers, with a Top 5 timeslot ranking among cable entertainment programs with men 18-34.
