A&E SCORES BEST SECOND QUARTER IN NETWORK HISTORY

NETWORK RANKS FIFTH AMONG ADULTS 25-54, 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS IN 2012 VERSUS ALL ENTERTAINMENT CABLE NETWORKS

JUNE 2012 MARKS BEST JUNE ON RECORD WITH 20% GROWTH

NEW YORK, NY - June 26, 2012 - Continuing its phenomenal ratings growth after securing the best quarter in network history in the first quarter of 2012, A&E enjoyed its best second quarter ever among key demographics behind the strength of the network's expansive slate of original series. Year to-date, A&E currently ranks fifth among all entertainment cable networks in adults 25-54, 18-49 and total viewers.

For the quarter, the network was up by 8% in total viewers (1.404 million), up 5% in adults 25-54 (688,000) and up 4% in adults 18-49 (642,000), edging out the previously record-setting second quarter 2011 as the best in network history. Lead by such original hit series as "Storage Wars," "Storage Wars: Texas," "Longmire," "The Glades" and "Duck Dynasty," A&E enjoyed five original series that averaged more than one million viewers in adults 25-54 for the quarter.

June 2012 also went on record as the most watched June in network history among adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and in total viewers. The network was up 20% in total viewers (1.624 million), 11% in adults 25-54 (767,000) and 8% in adults 18-49 (682,000) versus June 2011. A&E is on pace for its 9th consecutive year of growth in the key adults 25-54 demographic.
