"Rock Center with Brian Williams" Reports Its Highest 18-49 and Total-Viewer Results Since January 23
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, July 12.

Thursday Results:

· At 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) is currently reporting its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since January 23 (pending updates), the night of a two-hour telecast that featured a Republican Presidential Candidates Debate. Week to week, "Rock Center" is up 33 percent in 18-49 (to a 1.2 vs. a 0.9) and 58 percent or 1.9 million persons in total viewers (5.236 million vs. 3.320 million) and versus two weeks ago, "Rock Center" is up 50 percent in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.8). Compared with NBC's total-viewer average in the time period last summer, last night's "Rock Center" is up 33 percent in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.9, L+SD non-sports) and 103 percent in total viewers (5.236 million vs. 2.579 million). In the time period, last night's "Rock Center" is tied for #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and 25-54, within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in both measures, and #2 outright in total viewers. Last night's "Rock Center" included reports on the Church of Scientology, a Syrian rebel commander and the aftermath of the Costa Concordia shipwreck

· "Rock Center" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 30 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.0), 21 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.4) and 16 percent in total viewers (5.6 million vs. 4.8 million) to rank #1 from 10:30-11 p.m. ET among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers.

· In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Rock Center" delivered a 13 percent margin of victory among ABC, CBS and NBC in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 1.7 rating vs. a 1.5 for both ABC and CBS).

· At 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall, and at 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall.

· At 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. "Saving Hope" is currently showing a half-hour to half-hour gain of a tenth of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 0.6 from a 0.5) and 6 percent in total viewers (3.3 million vs. 3.1 million). Pending updates, "Saving Hope" is up week to week by a tenth of a rating point in 18-49 and 45 percent in total viewers (to 3.183 million vs. 2.197 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.0/7; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/4.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; "Nightline," 1.0/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
