NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, August 23.

[via press release from NBC]

Thursday Results (local NFL preemption on all major networks):

· Pending updates, at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 1.0/4 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall, and at 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers overall. Though these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings are likely inflated by local NFL coverage, they currently represent summer highs for both shows.

· Pending updates, at 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" is currently averaging a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall. Though these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings are likely inflated by local NFL coverage, "Saving Hope" is currently reporting its top 18-49 rating of the summer.

· Pending updates, at 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) is currently tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and #1 outright among those networks in total viewers. Though these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings are likely inflated by local NFL coverage, "Rock Center" is currently reporting its top 18-49 rating since July 12 and matching its highest 18-49 rating of the summer. Compared with NBC's averages in the time period last summer, last night's "Rock Center" is currently up 33 percent in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.9, L+SD non-sports) and 110 percent in total viewers (5.419 million vs. 2.579 million), pending updates.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.7/7; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.4/4.
