"Saving Hope," Likely Inflated by Local NFL Coverage, Reports Its Top Results of the Summer
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, August 30.

[via press release from NBC]

Thursday Results (local NFL preemptions on all major networks and some inconsistent start times across time zones):

· Pending updates, at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 1.1/4 in 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall, and at 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall. Though these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings are likely inflated by local NFL coverage, they currently represent summer highs for both shows.

· Pending updates, at 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" is currently averaging a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall. Though these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings are likely inflated by local NFL coverage, "Saving Hope" is currently reporting its top results of the summer.

· Fast-affiliate ratings for NBC News' live coverage of the Republican National Convention from 10-11 p.m. are not time zone-adjusted and are subject to change.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night (New Orleans is excluded and all start times were delayed due to overrun convention coverage):

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.9/5; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.4/4; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.0/5; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.1/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2; "Nightline," 0.7/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.

· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.8/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
