"Grimm" Matches the Combined Rating of ABC's and CBS's Encore Dramas in Adults 18-49
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, September 3.

[via press release from NBC]

Monday Results:

· From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Grimm" (1.4/4 in adults 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) led the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key category, matching the combined rating of ABC's and CBS' encore dramas in adults 18-49 (1.4 vs. 0.8 for CBS's "Hawaii Five-0" rebroadcast and 0.6 for ABC's "Castle" encore).

· Despite Monday's Labor Day distractions, "Grimm" matched its average for last May's sweep in 18-49 rating (1.4).

· Keep in mind that last season, "Grimm" originals added an average 69 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 ratings when Nielsen issued "live plus seven day" results.

· In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Grimm" delivered a 50 percent margin of victory among ABC, CBS and NBC in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 1.8 rating vs. a 1.2 for CBS's second-place "Hawaii Five-0" encore). "Grimm" also led those networks at 10:30 in every other key ratings category.

· From 8-10 p.m. ET, "Stars Earn Stripes" averaged a 0.9/2 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall. On a night of Labor Day distractions and an earlier 8 p.m. start time, "Stars Earn Stripes" matched the prior week's preliminary fast-affiliate rating in 18-49 (0.9 for a 9-10 p.m. telecast) and finished within a tenth of a point of last week's official-national rating (1.0).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.0/5 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.5/6; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.1/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Nightline," 0.8/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.8/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated. Season figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."
