"Sons of Anarchy" Beats First-Run Competition on Every Broadcast Network at 10 PM in Delivery of Adults 18-49

Sons of Anarchy - Season 5/Week 4 - The Nationals (Tuesday, 10/2/12)

Not only was last night's fourth episode of Season 5 of Sons of Anarchy the #1 program on cable Tuesday, it beat first-run competition on every broadcast network at 10 PM in delivery of Adults 18-49, Men 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-34, Women 18-34, and Men 25-54.

It was the #2-ranked program Tuesday in prime (broadcast and cable, 8-11P) in delivery of Men 18-49 (1.8 million) behind NCIS (CBS) and #5 program overall in delivery of Adults 18-49.

SOA's delivery of 4.6 million Total Viewers and 3.1 million Adults 18-49 ranks as the #3 highest-rated episode ever for Sons of Anarchy (Live+Same Day). See full data set and competitive for last night below.

Through four weeks, the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy is posting double-digit ratings increases across the board versus Season 4.

With Live+7 data complete as of this week, the Season 5 premiere episode of Sons of Anarchy was highest-rated telecast in FX's 18-year history in Adults 18-49 (4.8 million), Adults 18-34 (2.5 million) and Adults 25-54 (4.8 million), and it tied for highest all-time in Total Viewers with 7.2 million. -- (135,077 telecasts since FX's launch)

The combination of Sons of Anarchy and its movie lead-in Taken made FX the #1-rated cable network Tuesday night (8-11P).
