Drawing nearly 16 million viewers, 60 MINUTES made the upper half of Nielsen's Top 10 list at #3 - its highest weekly ranking in season since the week ending Dec. 18, 2011.

America's most-watched news program delivered 15.96 million viewers to rank #3 in that category. It also finished at #3 in households (10.0/15), #6 in adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and #8 (tie) in adults 18-49 (3.6/09), according to Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings for Sunday, Oct. 7.

It was the program's best deliveries in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Jan. 8, 2012.

Sunday's 60 MINUTES broadcast contained a Steve Kroft investigation of Chinese telecom giant Huawei, Lesley's Stahl's story about Luxottica, the world's dominant eyewear company, and a Bob Simon report on the amazing rise from obscurity of Detroit singer-songwriter Rodriguez.

CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES.
