ALCS on TBS Averaging 6.1 Million Total Viewers

Network's ALCS Coverage Up 92 Percent Among Total Viewers vs. 2011

TBS' exclusive presentation of the American League Championship Series is averaging a 3.8 U.S. household rating, based on Nielsen Fast Nationals, and 6,110,000 total viewers through two games. This year's ALCS between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers is up 92 percent among viewers (vs. 3,184,000) and 90 percent in average rating (vs. 2.0) compared with last year's NLCS on TBS featuring the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers.

Yesterday afternoon's Yankees/Tigers telecast (ALCS Game 2 from 4-7:31 p.m. ET) averaged a 3.1 U.S. household rating and 5,040,000 total viewers. TBS' coverage was up 67 percent among total viewers (vs. 3,021,000) and 63 percent in average rating (vs. 1.9) over last year's NLCS Game 2 between the Cardinals/Brewers.

Locally, yesterday's ALCS Game 2 generated a 26.2 metered market rating in Detroit, the highest-rated MLB Postseason game in the market this year, and a 9.7 in New York.

Source: Nielsen Media Research based on Live +SD with 2012 data based on Fast Nationals, except for local markets (based on Metered Market ratings).
