Discovery Channel Dominates as #1 in All of Television Among Men on Tuesday with "American Chopper Live: The Revenge" and "Amish Mafia" Sneak Peek Premiere

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Discovery Channel's AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: THE REVENGE live special and the sneak peek premiere of AMISH MAFIA broke Discovery Channel ratings records on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and were the #1 and #2 cable programs, respectively, among Persons and Men 25-54, Persons and Men 18-49 and Men 18-34, and M18+ delivery on Tuesday night. Additionally, Discovery Channel was the #1 network among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34 delivery, no exclusions, and it beat all major broadcasts and every cable network in key male demos for Tuesday evening Prime Time.

AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: THE REVENGE earned a 2.77 HH rating and a 2.51 P25-54 rating delivering 3.91 million total viewers P2+, making it the #1 television program, no exclusions, among Men 18-49 and Men 18-34.

The sneak peek premiere of AMISH MAFIA earned a 2.51 HH rating a 2.13 P25-54 rating delivering 3.41 million viewers P2+ making it the highest-rated launch ever for a Discovery series among P/M25-54, P/M18-49 and P/M18-34 delivery.

Social media was at the forefront of AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE, with more than 100 viewer and talent Tweets featured live in primetime during the Monday's AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: ROAD TO REVENGE, and viewers took to Facebook, Twitter and GetGlue to share their team loyalties. According to Trendrr, AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: THE REVENGE and pre-show AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: COUNTDOWN TO REVENGE, with the sneak peek premiere of AMISH MAFIA, all rated among the top 10 most social shows on cable television Tuesday night ranking at #8, #9 and #10 respectively. Last night, Discovery Channel lit up Twitter, delivering three of the top trending topics with "Jesse James," #ChopperLive and #AmishMafia all trending in the U.S. and the latter trending worldwide during its special preview. Fans also took to their mobile phones to vote in the four-way battle driving a 45% increase in the number of votes over last year's build-off.

On last night's live special AMERICAN CHOPPER LIVE: THE REVENGE, four teams faced-off at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas revealing their extreme bikes. America voted and last year's champion, Paul Teutal Jr. ("Team Junior") won the title as, "best bike builder in the world." The compelling characters that made up these teams include: AMERICAN CHOPPER's Paul Teutul Sr. ("Team Senior" and Paul Teutul Jr. ("Team Junior"), OUTLAW GARAGE's Jesse James ("Team Jesse") and FAST N' LOUD's Richard Rawlings and Aaron Kaufmanthe ("Team Fast n' Loud").

During the sneak peek premiere of AMISH MAFIA, viewers met the men who protect and maintain harmony within the Amish settlement of Lancaster, PA. When members of the community come to the group members with reports of wrongdoings and other misdeeds, it is up to Levi, Alvin, Jolin and John to take matters into their own hands.

AMISH MAFIA returns to Discovery Channel tonight, Wednesday, December 12th, with the official series premiere kicking off at 9 PM ET/PT.
