New York, December 19, 2012 - HISTORY(R) will close out 2012 as its best year ever for the sixth year in a row.

Since 2009, HISTORY is the fastest growing network in all of television. With an all original line-up, the network currently has more series averaging over 1 million impressions with Adults 25-54 than any other network in cable.

All 3 parts of HATFIELDS & MCOYS now rank as the top 3 entertainment telecasts of all time in ad supported cable history among total viewers.

Returning top performing series propelled the network in 2012, such as PAWN STARS, AMERICAN PICKERS, SWAMP PEOPLE and AX MEN.

This summer, HISTORY launched two more original hit series to its roster: MOUNTAIN MEN with an average of 3.5 million total viewers, 1.7 million Adults 25-54 and 1.5 million Adults 18-49, making it one the top non-fiction shows in cable and COUNTING CARS with an average of 2.6 million total viewers, 1.4 million Adults 25-54 and 1.3 million Adults 18-49.

HISTORY was also driven to success in 2012 with its roster of acclaimed and highly successful event specials and mini-series programming, such as: THE MEN WHO BUILT AMERICA, which averaged 2.6 million total viewers, 1.2 million Adults 25-54 and 1 million Adults 18-49 across 4 nights.

HISTORY(R) is the leading destination for factual entertainment, including award-winning original series and specials that connect viewers with history in an informative, immersive and entertaining manner across multiple platforms.
