The Regular-Slot Debut of "The Biggest Loser" Is the #1 Show of the Night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in Adults 18-49
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, January 7.

Monday Results:

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox with the #1 show of the night on those nets, "The Biggest Loser" (2.4/6 from 8-10) and the #1 show at 10 p.m., "Deception" (2.0/5). Note that ESPN carried college football's national championship game in primetime last night.

* From 8-10 p.m. ET, the regular-slot debut of "The Biggest Loser" (2.4 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) is the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49. In the time period, "Loser" is #1 among those networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demographics. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Loser" grew by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.6 from a 2.3).

* This regular-slot debut of "Loser" matches the show's year-ago season premiere in 18-49 (2.4/6 on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 from 8-10) and is up 9 percent versus last year's finale (2.2/7 on May 1, 2012), despite the move of the show from its long-time home on Tuesdays to new night running head-to-head against "Bachelor."

* From 10-11 p.m. ET, the premiere of "Deception" (2.0/5 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) is #1 in the hour in 18-49 on ABC, CBS and NBC versus ABC's "Castle" and CBS's encore "Hawaii Five-0." "Deception" is also #1 among those network in the time period in adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos.

* "Deception" is up versus NBC's average in the time period last season by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.6) and up 10 percent in total viewers (5.624 million vs. 5.106 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.8/6; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; "Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

* At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
