TBS Ranks as Basic Cable's #1 Network Among Adults 18-49 in Primetime for the Week
Turner spins the numbers for the week of April 8-14.

TBS chalked up yet another victory, ranking as basic cable's #1 network among adults 18-49 in primetime for the week.

The TBS original comedy series Cougar Town has garnered 2.1 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery for last week's one-hour season finale. Among key demos, the show scored 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 641,000 adults 18-34.

TBS's hit original sitcom Men at Work garnered 2 million viewers in Live+3 viewing for last Thursday's episode (+3% vs. the prior week). The series also garnered 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 658,000 adults 18-34, the latter demo growing +6% over the prior week's episode.

For the week, Cougar Town and Men at Work combined with telecasts of The Big Bang Theory to give TBS 18 of basic cable's Top 20 sitcom telecasts with adults 18-49. The Big Bang Theory also accounted for 18 of the Top 20 sitcom telecasts with total viewers and 16 of the Top 20 sitcom telecasts among adults 18-34.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim's weekly Total Day performance ranked #1 on basic cable among adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24, 18-34, & 18-49. Compared to the same week in 2012, average Total Day delivery grew with adults 18-24 by 27%, adults 18-34 by 14%, adults 18-49 by 10%, men 18-24 by 33%, men 18-34 by 20% and men 18-49 by 11%.

In broadcast primetime, Adult Swim ranked #2 for the week among basic cable networks for delivery of adults 18-34. Versus the same week in 2012, average Prime delivery increased by double-digit growth among all targeted adults and men - adults 18-34 by 20%, adults 18-24 by 38%, adults 18-49 by 16%, men 18-24 by 61%, men 18-34 by 33% and men 18-49 by 18%.

A premiere episode of original series Loiter Squad (Sunday, 12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period with all targeted adults and men, growing by impressive double digits across these same demos vs. the same time period year ago. Delivery of adults 18-34 improved by 60%, adults 18-24 by 43%, adults 18-49 by 48%, men 18-34 by 79%, men 18-24 by 82% and men 18-49 by 59%.

Saturday's Toonami block premiere episodes of Bleach, Naruto and Soul Eater each ranked #1 in their respective time slots among adults 18-24 & 18-34 and all key men, charting double-digit increases across the board - ranging between 32% and 102% - vs. the same time period last year.

The Saturday premiere episode of The Cleveland Show (10:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults & men 18-24, earning double-digit delivery increases - from 38% to 81% - across the board vs. the same time period last year.

Adult Swim programming accounted for 25 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week with adults 18-34, and 28 of the top 50 telecasts with men 18-34, both more than any other network.

TNT

Last week, back-to-back episodes of the hit TNT drama Dallas averaged 3.0 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery. The two episodes also attracted 1.3 million adults 25-54 and 1.1 million adults 18-49.

TNT's award-winning drama Southland scored growth for a second consecutive week. Last Wednesday night's episode delivered 2.2 million viewers in Live + 3, a jump of +6% over the previous week. It also averaged 1.0 million adults 25-54 and 1.0 million adults 18-49, growing +8% in the latter demo. TNT's new unscripted police drama Boston's Finest led into Southland with 809,000 viewers in Live + 3 delivery, including 417,000 adults 25-54 and 425,000 adults 18-49.

truTV

Three weeks into its seventh season, the hit truTV series Hardcore Pawn is outperforming the prior season across the board, growing +9% among total viewers, +16% among adults 18-49 and +7% among men 18-49. Last Tuesday night's episode garnered 2.4 million viewers and ranked as ad-supported cable's #1 unscripted program in the 9 p.m. half hour with adults 18-49 (1.2 million). The show also garnered Top 5 timeslot rankings with men 18-49 (600,000) and adults 18-34 (492,000).

Cartoon Network

Across the second week of April 2013, Cartoon Network ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day and Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 9-14.

Cartoon Network was the #1 television destination for all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 among all TV on Monday and Thursday Night (7-9p), #1 for boys 6-11/9-14 on Tuesday Night (7-9p), and #1 with boys 9-14 on Wednesday and Friday Night.

Original animated series Adventure Time's Monday 7:30 p.m. premiere was the #1 telecast of the week among boys 9-14, and #1 for the day among boys 2-11 & 9-14. Immediately following, original animated series Regular Show (8 p.m.) was the #1 telecast of the day among boys 6-11. All three Monday night premieres, including MAD at (8:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in their respective time periods with all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14.

A premiere episode of original sketch-comedy series Incredible Crew (8 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Additionally, ratings compared to last year's time period grew with kids 6-11 by 7%, kids 9-14 by 8%, boys 2-11 by 3% and boys 6-11 by 5%.

Friday night's overall performance vs. the same time period in 2012 grew kids 6-11 ratings by 14% and delivery by 11%, kids 9-14 ratings by 22% and delivery by 16%.

NBA TV

NBA TV's 21 NBA Fan Night presented by Sprint telecasts averaged a total of 259,000 adults 18-49, a boost of +10% compared to Fan Night's 2011-12 season (236,000 adults 18-49; 22 telecasts). Through the 93 live-game telecasts, NBA TV is averaging 185,000 adults 18-49, a +5% increase over the 2011-12 regular-season average (177,000 adults 18-49; 93 telecasts).
