[via press release from NBC]

Wednesday Primetime Results:

* From 8-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) reported three-week highs for a Wednesday telecast in both 18-49 and total viewers, with its best results since the show's Wednesday season premiere on April 3 earned a 1.4 in 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall. Week to week, the Wednesday "Dateline" is up 8 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2), up 20 percent in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and up 11 percent in total viewers (5.533 million vs. 5.006 million). "Dateline" is up versus NBC's season average in the time period prior to "Dateline" by 36 percent in total viewers (5.533 million vs. 4.059 million).

* At 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall) captured its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since January 9, despite this being the first "SVU" original in three weeks. In the time period, "SVU" is #2 or tied for #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures, behind only Fox's "American Idol." Keep in mind that last season, "Law & Order: SVU" originals added an average of 47 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings in 18-49 when Nielsen reported "live plus seven day" results.

* Versus its prior original on April 3, "SVU" is up 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.6) and up 14 percent in total viewers (7.220 million vs. 6.336 million).

* At 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Chicago Fire" (1.0/3 in adults 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) is up 11 percent versus last week's 0.9 in 18-49 rating and up 15 percent versus the show's week-ago 3.544 million viewers overall.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night:

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.5/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.
