NBC Wins Friday Among ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox in 18-49, 25-54 and Total Viewers, With 'Dateline NBC' and 'Ann Curry Reports' Tying as the Top Program of the Night on Those Nets in 18-49

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 2, 2013 - NBC has finished #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 for the primetime week of June 24-30, averaging a 1.3 rating, 4 share in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research.

Monday's decisive Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals tied for #1 among primetime programs last week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 (matching CBS's debut of "Under the Dome," which hockey topped in their head-to-head hour), and the NBC Sports telecast was #1 outright for the week on those networks in adults 18-34 and men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" was the #1 reality show and #3 show overall in adults 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. "Talent" finished #1 for the week on those networks in kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.

NBC ranked #1 or tied for #1 for the week among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, men 25-54, men and women 18-49 and men 18-34.

Primetime averages for the week of June 24-30 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 1.3/4; Fox, 1.2/4; CBS, 1.2/4; ABC, 1.0/3; and CW, 0.2/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 5.7 million; NBC, 4.9 million; ABC, 3.7 million; Fox, 3.3 million; and CW, 0.7 million.

Averages for the 2012-13 Broadcast Year to date are: CBS, 2.6/8; Fox, 2.4/7; NBC, 2.3/7; ABC, 2.2/6; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 11.0 million; ABC, 7.7 million; NBC, 6.9 million; Fox, 6.6 million; and CW, 1.7 million.

NBC highlights for the week of June 24-30:

Monday: NBC Sports' coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks-Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Final Game 6 (3.3/10 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall from 8:17-11 p.m. ET) won the night in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demos. NBC matched its highest average for a Monday night in 18-49 since May 6.

The 8.2 million viewers makes this the #2 Stanley Cup Final Game 6 telecast going back to at least 1994 in total viewers, behind only 2010's Chicago-Philadelphia Game 6 (8.3 million on June 9, 2010). Versus the comparable year-ago coverage, this year's telecast is up 65% in 18-49 rating (with a 3.3 rating vs. a 2.0), up 66% or more than 3.2 million persons in total viewers (8.2 million vs. 4.9 million) and up 52% in household rating (4.7 vs. 3.1).

Tuesday: NBC won Tuesday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and virtually all other key measures, led by the #1 show of the night in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories, "America's Got Talent" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 10.2 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET). "Talent" was the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 by a margin of 53% (2.6 vs. 1.7 for Fox's #2 "So You Think You Can Dance" from 8-10 p.m.).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Talent" topped the encore-drama competition on ABC and CBS combined in every key category -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

"Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall with an 8 p.m. encore; and 1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers with an 8:30 original) returned after a three-month absence and matched its prior 18-49 rating (1.1/3 at 8:30 on March 19). In total viewers, the 8:30 "Rockers" delivered the show's biggest audience since February 26.

Wednesday: NBC's three Wednesday encores all equaled the 18-49 ratings for their prior telecasts three weeks earlier, with a "Dateline NBC" rebroadcast averaging a 1.1/4 in 18-49 at 8 p.m. ET and 5.2 million viewers overall, a "Law & Order: SVU" encore delivering a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall at 9 and a "Chicago Fire" rebroadcast averaging a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall at 10. In adults 25-54, the "Dateline" encore grew 14% versus the show's prior Wednesday telecast (with a 1.6 rating vs. a 1.4 on June 5).

Thursday: "The Office" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) filed its top results for an encore since May 30 in 18-49 and June 6 in total viewers.

A rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" (0.9/3 in 18-49 3.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults, men and women 18-34.

Friday: NBC finished #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox Friday night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers with the top two shows of the night, "Dateline NBC" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) and "Ann Curry Reports: A Face in the Crowd" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m.). "Dateline" reported its top Friday 18-49 rating since March 1 and biggest Friday audience since June 7.

NBC's 1.3 for the night matches the top Friday average for ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox since May 17 (1.6 for ABC). In total viewers, NBC's 6.1 million is the biggest average audience for any of those networks on a Friday since May 10 (8.2 million for CBS).

Sunday: An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 120% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.5) and 68% or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 2.7 million).

"Crossing Lines" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in men 18-49 and men 18-34.
