Discovery Channel Has the #1 Program in Cable During 2Q13
Discovery spins the numbers for the second quarter of 2013.

DISCOVERY CHANNEL HAS THE #1 PROGRAM IN CABLE DURING 2Q13

- Discovery's Prime Time Ranks #5 For Men in June 2013 with More Than 20% Increases in Total Viewers P2+ and Key Demos vs. June 2012-

During 2Q13, Discovery Channel had the #1 program in all of cable with SKYWIRE LIVE WITH NIK WALLENDA, which averaged 13 million viewers during the walk segment of the live special on June 23. Discovery also delivered its best 2Q Fridays since 2Q04 in Persons and Men 18+ and Persons and Men 25-54 delivery.

In June, Discovery's Prime Time ranked in the Top 5 (#5) for Men 25-54 delivery, and Top 10 for Men 18-49, Persons 25-54 Persons 18-48 and Men 18-34 for the month. Additionally, Discovery's Prime Time delivery was up double digits vs. June 2012 in Total Viewers P2+ (+22%), Persons 25-54 (+22%), Men 25-54 (+22%) and Women 25-54 (up 23%).

During 2Q13, multiple Discovery series topped cable on their respective nights. On 2Q13 Fridays, Discovery had the top 5 cable programs among Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 delivery with SONS OF GUNS leading the pack as the #1 Friday program, followed by YUKON MEN (#2), BLADE BROTHERS (#3), BERING SEA GOLD (#4) and WILD WEST ALASKA (#5).

Other series that were ranked #1 during 2Q13 included DEADLIEST CATCH, the #1 Tuesday program in all of cable among Men 25-54 and #2 Tuesday program in Persons 25-54 with an average of 2.67 million total viewers P2+. FAST 'N LOUD finished as the #1 2Q13 Monday night cable program among both Men 25-54 and Men 18-49 with an average of 2.23 million total viewers P2+.

Additional series that ranked in the top 5 on their respective nights during 2Q13 among Men 25-54 delivery included NORTH AMERICA (#4 on Sundays), STREET OUTLAWS (#4 on Mondays), NAKED AND AFRAID (#5 on Fridays), MYTHBUSTERS (#5 on Wednesdays), and THE DEVIL'S RIDE (#5 on Mondays).
