SATURDAY'S BACK-TO-BACK ENCORES OF "48 HOURS" ARE SATURDAY'S #1 AND #2 PROGRAMS WITH VIEWERS AND HOUSEHOLDS

Saturday's back to back encores of 48 HOURS were the #1 and #2 programs with viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for August 17, 2013.

48 HOURS: "Everything to Lose" (R) (10:00-11:00 PM) was first with adults 25-54 (1.2/04) - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - as well as viewers (4.41m), adults 18-49 (0.8/03) and households (3.1/06). 48 HOURS: "Everything to Lose" was the night's #1 program in viewers and households.

48 HOURS: "Memory of Murder" 9:00 PM (R) (9:00-10:00 PM) was first in viewers (3.33m) and households (2.4/05). 48 HOURS: "Memory of Murder" was the night's #2 program in households and viewers, behind 48 HOURS: "Everything to Lose."

"Everything to Lose" featured Richard Schlesinger and 48 HOURS' investigation into the murder of Dana Clair Edwards, who in 2009 was found dead in her home in a wealthy San Antonio enclave. Frustrated with the investigation, Edwards' mother, Deborah, took matters into her own hands and began taunting her daughter's alleged killer, Jon Thomas Ford, who had dated Dana Clair for two years. Though they were no longer a couple, Edwards and Ford were at the same party where she was last seen alive.

And in "Memory of Murder," Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS returned to the murder of Peter Porco and the brutal attack on his wife, Joan. Porco was found bludgeoned to death in his home and his wife was found bleeding profusely and unable to speak. Police responding to the bloodbath asked Joan who attacked the couple. When they asked if it was her son, Christopher, she nodded yes. Once Joan recovered, she said she didn't recall the nods that police took to implicate Christopher and stood by her son. The case was recently turned into a cable TV movie that Christopher Porco unsuccessfully tried to block from ever being shown to the public.

48 HOURS: "Memory of Murder" is produced by Patti Aronofsky, Katherine Davis and Elena DiFiore. Mead Stone is the producer-editor. Tom Costantino, Bob Orozovich, Joan Adelman, Kevin Dean and Grayce Arlotta-Berner are the editors. Linda Martin is the update producer. Suzanne Allen is the senior coordinating producer.
