ABC Family - Summer 2013

During Summer 2013, powered by its largest array of original series in the network's history, ABC Family ranked as cable TV's #1 network in Prime for the 2nd consecutive summer in Women 18-34 (282,000), placed a solid #2 in Females 12-34 (444,000) and was a Top 5 contender in Women 18-49 (#4 - 434,000) and Viewers 12-34 (#5 - 576,000).

Winner of seven 2013 Teen Choice Awards - the most for this year's ceremony - including Choice TV Show: Drama - "Pretty Little Liars" stood as TV's #1 series in Females 12-34, Teens 12-17 and Female Teens, cable TV's #1 series in Women 18-34 and the #1 scripted basic cable TV series in Women 18-49.

The summer escorted in the #1 new cable TV series in target Millennials with "The Fosters," marking ABC Family's 4th consecutive summer launching the #1 new cable series, #1 scripted cable TV series or #1 new cable TV comedy. "Switched at Birth," "Baby Daddy" and "Melissa & Joey" all ranked #1 in their cable TV time periods in key categories, while "Twisted" emerged as the #2 new cable TV series in Females 12-34 and Female Teens. In fact, ABC Family delivered the Top 3 series of the summer in Female Teens with "Pretty Little Liars," "The Fosters" and "Twisted."

Program Highlights

· ABC Family's #1 series of all time, "Pretty Little Liars" ranked as TV's #1 series of the summer in Females 12-34 (2.22 million/4.9 rating), Teens 12-17 (943,000/3.9 rating) and Female Teens (877,000/7.5 rating), as cable TV's #1 series in Women 18-34 (1.34 million/4.0 rating) and the #1 scripted basic cable TV series in Women 18-49 (1.70 million/2.7 rating).

· "Pretty Little Liars'" June 12 season premiere became #1 "most tweeted" season premiere in TV history, amassing nearly 1.3 million tweets by more than 482,000 unique contributors. Impressively, "Pretty Little Liars" accounts for the Top 4 most-tweeted TV series episodes of all time with its Summer 2012 and Spring 2013 finales and the Winter and Summer 2013 premieres.

· "Switched at Birth" stood as cable TV's #1 scripted series on Mondays at 8 o'clock across target measures including Adults 18-34 (853,000/1.3 rating), Adults 18-49 (1.38 million/1.1 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (1.31 million/1.4 rating).

· "The Fosters" qualified as the #1 new cable TV series of the summer in Viewers 12-34 (1.48 million/1.6 rating) and Females 12-34 (1.27 million/2.8 rating).

· On Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m., "Twisted" positioned as cable TV's #1 series in the hour in Women 18-34 (544,000/1.6 rating), Viewers 12-34 (1.24 million/1.3 rating) and Females 12-34 (1.08 million/2.4 rating), and was the #2 new cable TV series of the summer in Females 12-34 and Female Teens (532,000/4.5 rating).

· ABC Family's #1 comedy of all time, "Baby Daddy" ranked as the #1 cable TV series on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. in Women 18-34 (376,000/1.1 rating) and Females 12-34 (517,000/1.1 rating), and was the #1 original cable TV telecast in Adults 18-34 (504,000/0.7 rating), Women 18-49 (545,000/0.9 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (667,000/0.7 rating).

· "Melissa & Joey" was the #1 cable TV series on Wednesdays at 8 o'clock among target demos, including Adults 18-34 (486,000/0.7 rating), Women 18-34 (349,000/1.0 rating), Viewers 12-34 (612,000/0.7 rating) and Females 12-34 (459,000/1.0 rating).
