ABC's "The Lookout" Spikes in Its Season Finale with a 12-Week High in Viewers

During Wednesday's 10 o'clock hour, the season finale of ABC's The Lookout posted across-the-board week to week increases in Total Viewers (+15%), Adults 18-49 (+43%) and Adults 25-54 (+30%). The ABC newsmagazine drew its biggest audience in 12 weeks (since 6/12/12), while tying its best Adult 18-49 and Adult 25-25 numbers since June - since 6/19/13 and 6/26/13, respectively.

"ABC's The Lookout" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

During Wednesday's 10 o'clock hour, the season finale of "ABC's The Lookout" posted across-the-board week-to-week increases in Total Viewers (+15% - 3.8 million vs. 3.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+43% - 1.0/3 vs. 0.7/2) and Adults 25-54 (+30% - 1.3/3 vs. 1.0/3).

· The ABC newsmagazine drew its biggest audience in 12 weeks (since 6/12/13), while tying its best Adult 18-49 and Adult 25-25 numbers since June - since 6/19/13 and 6/26/13, respectively.

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 48% currently, from 45% at the same point in 2012. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
