TBS' exclusive presentation of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) Game 1, a 13-inning thriller with the St. Louis Cardinals defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2, averaged a 3.5 U.S. HH rating and 5.5 million total viewers. Based on Nielsen Fast Nationals, the NLCS Game 1 is up 67% and 63%, respectively, compared with a 2.1 U.S. HH rating and 3.4 million total viewers for the network's comparable NLCS Game 1 telecast between the Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers in 2011.

Last night's NLCS Game 1 peaked with a 4.3 HH rating from 11:45 p.m.-midnight ET and averaged a 3.7 HH rating from midnight-1:30 a.m.

Locally, the telecast delivered a 30.3 HH rating in St. Louis, a 32% increase compared with a 22.9 HH rating for Game 1 of the Cardinals/Brewers airing on TBS in 2011. The 12.4 rating in L.A. is also up 10% over Game 1 of the 2009 NLCS, the last time the Dodgers played in the NLCS.

TBS' exclusive coverage of the 2013 NLCS continues today, Saturday, Oct. 12, with Game 2 of the best-of-seven Dodgers/Cardinals series at 4 p.m. The network will preview the action with the MLB Postseason Pre-Game on TBS presented by Jeep at 3:30 p.m.
